AmericanExpress invented the Credit Card.

Literally.

The very first credit card was issued by AmEx in 1956 as a follow-on to the Traveller’s Check, which they also invented though Thomas Cook might disagree.

The Green, Gold and Platinum American Express cards have been a symbol of wealth and a tool of convenience for 50 years. But they don’t get you all that you might expect today, particularly when it comes to porn.
