Secret friends.com now lets viewers send a selfie of themselves to their friend, using a button on the video window and your own computer or phone camera.

Press this button and a camera preview window pops up like the one above. On the left is a live view from your own webcam, and then use the “Take selfie” button your best side is then captured and shown as a still image on the right side.

If you like the result, and you can retake as many as you like until you get just the right image of yourself, then you can click the send button.

The image then goes to the friend you are chatting with and she can see what you really look like.

This is similar to the send image feature in the Plasma Messenger at Stripchat, but unlike that one where you are uploading a jpg you have taken earlier, with the Secretfriends Send Selfie button it really is about sending an image of what you are like right now.

It is more immediate but doesn’t give you the chance to choose your best photos.

Sending an image costs credits. One credit per selfie sent, with no refunds.

One credit at Secretfriends is about $1, this makes it different from the variable pricing that models at Stripchat can set for receiving images.
