Stripchat has realized that their fans are the same kind of fans as the fans of a major sports team.
To that end they have offered to support their supporters by sponsoring the football club that is reaching the end of their existing sponsorship deal.
He wrote: “While you’re currently in talks with new sponsors over a more lucrative shirt sponsorship deal, I wanted to throw Stripchat – a leading adult live webcam company – into the mix.
“We would be willing to pay $28M to be the jersey sponsor for Inter Milan. ” said Max Bennett, the Vice President of New Media at Stripchat, “There is a strong crossover between our fanbases.”
“This would be a fantastic opportunity for us to own some of the world’s most valuable sports real estate and raise awareness of Stripchat while also providing you with legitimate revenue.”
It all makes perfect sense, but sadly I doubt that it would ever happen. More likely this is an attempt by Stripchat to garner some more visability, after all the story was mentioned in the Daily Star, rather than an actual attempt to be a sponsor.
When will it get to the point that mainstream sports companies are willing to take sponsorships from cam sites? Do you see that happening any time soon or is it a pipe dream and just a publicity gimmick? Let me know your thoughts in the comments or post in the forum.
