Update 2020: This site, after going through many variations, is now a dead and for sale domain. It seems it never managed to get working. For something similar try Stripchat which has a similar vibe though is larger or Nood.TV for another small and modern site with sophisticated young women.

OnHerCam

Forums, blogs, twitter.  You’ll find it all at OnHerCam — this is a real Web 2.0 live cam site, and one of the few that really seems to have got it together both technically and organizationally.

They only seem to have really got going in around Aug 2008 and now half a year later they have perhaps 5 to 10 chathosts online at a time.  So it’s small, but also very active.

Last time I dropped in in early 2012 they still seemed pretty small, just one or two cams online.  Their forum and blogs look like viewers are involved, but some of the hosts who worked there before are now pushing their MFG profiles on twitter rather than OHC so presumed they have moved on.

And not just active in the sense of beggars in free video (indeed you have to register to get into any kind of video which helps), but also in forums and blogs — written by the hosts and the staff — which really give a feeling that the site is real and going somewhere.

It can be expensive though — “VIP” chat goes upwards of $7 a minute, though some hosts are doing regular “private” for $1.99. 

Now interestingly this is mainly a non-nude site, the basic privates are sexy chat and probably some rubbing-through-clothes type of stuff.  The absolute max you can do “officially” is topless in VIP, for which the charges are much higher.  No full nudity, no insertions — makes this quite a different site to the typical webcams.com, imlive etc shows where full nudity is a given in any kind of paid chat.  In practice though I’ve heard that in VIP chat regular hardcore insertion shows do happen, but again not “officially” so a viewer shouldn’t expect that.

Host payout is at least 50% — possibly higher depending on some unstated factors but which include exclusivity and online hours, and I suspect how hot you are.  ;-)

It says something about the world that non-nude sites can charge more than nude ones.  We should all think about that a bit!  They have opened a nude site though called SizzlingCamGirls so they see there is demand for that as well.  I Take that back as of 2012, sizzlingcamgirls is now a streamate whitelabel.
