Chaturbate rearranges desktop options

Chaturbate continues to fine-tune its website, and the latest is a small tweak to the way it looks on your desktop or laptop.

The point of this is that you can now see broadcaster you are following grouped by category or gender. This makes sense if you like, for example, both girls and couples but not necessarily at the same time.

Inevitably, not everybody likes what this does though.

“I hate this change” says G- Man, while lizzie blue and kholilur Rahman think it is great and awesome.

The bigger complaint is the fact that CB is tweaking things like small parts of the interface but not dealing with other things that people find more frustrating.

Firstly is the DM feature which is still barely used, I rarely get any DMs nor do people reply with I DM them, but it still frustrates those broadcasters who, like me, charge for PMs.

With the new DM feature this provides a loop-hole for anyone to contact a broadcaster, whether they like it or not. Of course, we can just choose not to reply if we are not tipped for it but that’s an extra thing to think about.

The other thing that comes up is the lack of categories to show the different “genders” for rooms. At the moment CB only has Women, Men, Couples and Trans.

That doesn’t cover everything and some things are open to interpretation, and hence misunderstanding.

For example, where do post-op trans-male-to-female broadcasters go? They may feel and wish to present as trans, but without a cock they end up being kicked out and have to go to Women.

Then there is the “couples”.

What does that word mean to you?

For some people that implies a man and woman heterosexual sex show.

But actually in that section are a wide range of different rooms that have more than 1 person in them.

There are lesbian couples, two or three or more girls in a girls-only show. Then there are the “office cams” where a girl works in an office with men around her but not fucking her.

I do that office view much of the time but because my office co-worker is not fucking me I list myself as female, not couple.

Is that right?

It all depends on your interpretation and the lack of category choices at Chaturbate makes this frustrating both for some broadcasters and also for viewers who want one of those things, but don’t want to see the others.
