Chaturbate has updated its website to support a Dark Mode option. Things brings it in line with MyFreeCams MFC.APP which has a dark mode, and of course Stripchat.com which is always dark.

With promises of more to come Chaturbate darkmode currently only supports the desktop browser and viewers screen.

Turning the control on-and-off changes the background of most pages from white to black or dark grey.

Being in dark mode has many advantages. There is less stress on your eyes, particularly if you are in a dark room, and it uses less electricity which is particularly noticeable for battery powered devices.

Some, but not all, of the other colors on the screen are adjusted accordingly. It still looks a little incomplete but I guess they will work on perfecting it over time.

At the moment it doesn’t work on mobile phones, which is probably where dark mode would be more useful, but there is a workaround.

In your phone browser such Chrome mobile you won’t find the Dark Mode option unless you turn on Desktop mode.

If you would rather not see Chaturbate on your phone being too bright, and all that white text is not only bad for battery but a bit blinding when you are using your phone in a dark place, such as in bed, then switch to desktop mode and turn on dark mode!

That is just a workaround until CB makes Dark model work natively on mobile phones, but for the time being it helps to kill that white background. And you can always turn the desktop mode on and off easily when you are in the model’s room.

One place where this doesn’t work is for the broadcasters. Unfortunately there is no dark mode for the broadcasting page, but Chaturbate do say that is coming soon.
