Cam4 is one of the few cam sites to have their own mobile phone apps. Though in their case it is specifically for people who are Broadcasting on Cam4. You don’t need an app to be a viewer, it works just fine on any mobile browser.

Therefore who would expect to find a “C4” app on Google Playstore, which suggests without clearly saying so, that it is an official Cam4 app.

If you search Google Playstore for “Cam4” the real C4 Broadcaster comes up first, but second is the fake “Cam4 Live Now” app. The app asks for a username and password; obviously, I haven’t given it one and you shouldn’t either.

Presumably it is stealing username and password login details, though for what reason I can’t imagine. Perhaps to sell on to other people as a “free cam4 account”?

Instead, report it as an impersonation!

Meanwhile, visit the real Cam4 on your mobile phone and find it works just fine without any “app”.
