Question: Where is the Chaturbate HD tag so I can see the highest quality video?

Short Answer; it doesn’t exist anymore

There used to be a Chaturbate tag for “#hd” that was automatically applied to any chatroom where the video quality was good enough. HD stands for “high definition” but most of us just know it as the “good” video that we expect to see on any TV made in the last 20 years.

If you are not watching old episodes of I Love Lucy or something classic like that then any TV show is in HD and we expect cam girls to have video that looks clear like that.

Internet video is a bit different though and there are a lot more technical limitations that mean not every cam girl is able to achieve the minimum quality level of HD which is 720p. At least that used to be the case when Chaturbate first started and only a few girls could achieve high quality video.

They took the HD tag away some time ago when basically everybody started to have good quality video so it wasn’t worth mentioning any more. If you have a half-way decent webcam, even a cheap Logitech c270 or c920 like the ones I use, then your computer can broadcast in HD.

Most of the time my room is running in 1080p mode which means you can cast me to your big flat-screen TV on the wall and I’ll look life size, or even bigger! Without being pixilated or too blurred at least.

Depending on your own computer and broadband connection you might not get a HD view of my ass right away though. Use your mouse to hover over the video and click the “HD” button which will then show the options.

Normally it is “auto” which means the best your PC and wifi or broadband can do. But sometimes that isn’t good enough and it is better to manually choose 1080p which is the best HD my room can do.

It isn’t the best that Chaturbate can do though. Some of the chat rooms such as this one by Ameetea can go one level up to 1080p60, which means the same size but faster fps. A higher fps of 60fps instead of mine at 30fps will mean more fluid movement.

I’m not sure high fps is really important while watching Chaturbate. Maybe if you want to see a Chaturbate cam girl squirt and see all the details perfectly, but apart from that I think regular HD is good enough.

You should know that just because a live chat room supports HD, and your PC and internet connection does as well, that it won’t necessarily mean perfect video quality.

After a while the quality of the video comes down to how good the camera is, the lighting in the room, and some settings on OBS or whatever other software is being used.

As my office doesn’t have fiber optic broadband my bandwidth isn’t as high as some girls and therefore I have to set my OBS bitrate a bit lower. That means my video, while officially HD 1080p, is a bit softer due to more compression.

I’ll say though that “softer” is a feature not a bug if it blurs out my wrinkles!

You might like to think you want to watch MILF cam girls such as me, but you really don’t want to see my wrinkles in full HD !
