Stripchat: Improved searching

Finding the right cam girl for you is the biggest hurdle to getting satisfaction from cam sites. Stripchat already has great recommendations and suggested categories, so you often can find what you want simply with a little scrolling. If your interests are a bit more specific though you may find the search command helps to find the right model.

Now Stripchat has introduced a set of filters that work alongside the full-text searching that already existed to narrow down that list even faster.

Keywords you’re typing in the search field are no longer the only way to find what you’re looking for. To narrow down the results, you can apply filters of age, ethnicity, body type, etc. Just hit the filter button, and you’ll see all available filter options.

Here is how it works.

Previously you just entered words into the search box and you’d get the results of any model who used that word in her profile or room somewhere, such as in her tip menu or things she will do.

Now you can constrain the filtering even more using a set of options under the filter button which is a new addition:

Start by choosing a word that describes what you want, say for example I’m choosing “skirt” as I want to see cute girls wearing skirts. But the thing I have in mind is particularly the teenage Asian girls wearing skirts in an office situation. All I have to do is tick those options and now my search will be restricted to girls using the word “skirt” who are in the teen and in the Asian categories as well as having selected “office”.

I can tell it is working because across the top of the results page is a summary of the filters I’ve set.

Are there many Stripchat cam rooms with “skirt” that are also Office, Teen and Asian? No there are not, but that’s a good thing. It means I’ve narrowed the list down to just the right cam girls I want to watch live right now.
