You may have noticed if you are a regular viewer at Stripchat that some of the chatrooms actually have different models on at different times. Although there is one “name” for the girl who is broadcasting actually it is not always the same person.

Similarly group or multi-person rooms might have one name, but the actual people you see change over time.

The upside of this is that a particular room can be broadcasting basically 24×7 just changing the models in shifts, and if they organise it so that the models in that room are similar then maybe that’s ok for a viewer if you are not worried about a personal relationship with a model.

Stripchat allows more than one person to be registered in a room, I have myself and my stunt-cock registered in my room though he is rarely online. As long as we both have ID uploaded that is ok, and in theory he could broadcast on his own without me (though I would never let him!)

I think that is how the multiple-persons-per-room is supposed to work; the room belongs to one person and they have guests or helpers online sometimes.

But as I said at the top where you actually see this is for rooms to operate continuously by changing models over in shifts so there is always someone online in that room. I suppose that this means a busy room full of viewers can “handed over” to the next girl when a shift ends.

Or for a studio it protects them against the danger of a girl resigning and loosing her fans. Those fans who have favorited or subscribed to her room, will just watch a new girl they allocate to that account.

All that is about to change though.

New rules come into effect on the 21st of October according to this pop-up I saw when I logged into my model account at Stripchat today.

What does this mean?

For me it doesn’t change anything, nor does it for anybody operating a room just for themselves, with or without the occasional guest.

But for studios running a room with multiple girls doing shifts, or allocating new girls into existing rooms, this is going to be a significant change. Studios will now need to designate a single account holder who must be present during every stream. This means that the flexibility of swapping models in and out of a room will be gone.

Starting now, well starting October 21st, each room is going to have a particular model who is the face of that room.

Studios will have to carefully consider who the primary account holder will be, not just for their face (and body) but also because the named person will “handle all financial matters”.

Will studios get different rules to me? My account is a personal account at Stripchat.

What will this mean for viewers?

For viewers, this could mean more consistency in who they see on their favorite channels, but it might also reduce the variety they enjoy.

If you like the group rooms which are a big orgy of particular types of girls, where you get to see a rotation of different faces, bodies and personalities, this change might be disappointing.

On the flip side, if you prefer building a connection with a specific camgirl, this could be a positive shift.

Pros for Viewers:

Consistency: You’ll always know who you’re watching.

Connection: Easier to build a personal rapport with your favorite model.

Reliability: Less confusion about who is broadcasting.

Cons for Viewers:

Variety: Reduced rotation of different models might make it less exciting.

Flexibility: Limited options if your favorite model is unavailable.

Novelty: Fewer chances to discover new models in the same room.
