When Stripchat upgraded their internal messaging system, the way in which models and viewers can text chat outside of a video room, they added lots of great new features.

One thing was removed though, and that removal was very inconveneitn when trying to chat with multiple people at the same time.

Today that essential chat feature has come back and makes the new messenger the best way to keep in touch between broadcasters and members.

It is a feature that most of the messaging systems in the world have, from iMessages to Facebook Messenger to WhatsApp, but strangely was missed out when Stripchat migrated to their new messenger.

The essential Stripchat Messenger feature that has made a comeback today is read receipts. Those little marks that let us know if something has actually got through to the other person, or whether it is in some sort of cyber limbo never to be seen.

With models and members botrh coming and going on their own schedules it is touch to know whether you have got through to the other party.

When you don’t get a reply to a private message how do you know what happened.

Did they read your message? Ignore it? Decide to answer later but forgot?

At least now you can tell if it arrived, and separately, whether it has been read or not.

Stripchat has adopted the same “one tick, two tick” approach that WhatsApp messenger takes. Beside each message there are either one checkmark or two checkmarks.

One check means the message is sent, but not ready.

When the other person reads the message then the mark is doubled.

The date and the time are when it was sent. There isn’t any way to tell when the message was read, only that it was read.

And of course “read” in this way just means it appeared on the person’s screen. You can’t tell if they actually looked at it, but at least they opened it.
