Site seems to have had no active hosts in a long time so delisting it as of 4 Sep 2008. Similar alternative with good WMP video would be privatefeeds. CamTrueCamTrue started in 2004 and it looks pretty good -- windows media player streams, low prices ($0.99-$2.49/min for group nude chat and $2.99 for private exclusive chat), mail system with the models. Just like CamContacts, ifrends and imLive, they have Back-video (or most sites called it Cam2cam or 2-way cam) in private or group chat, but not in free chat. Video is based on Windows Media Player so you can expect streaming quality. Down side though is that they are doing some funky security which means you can't access via an ISP who uses a proxy. As lots of ISPs these days use transparent proxies -- which you don't even know about and have no control over -- that might bite you. Free chat works fine though despite the proxy though. They do clearly state though that private chat quality and free chat quality are the same; so don't expect faster or smoother if you pay for it. You're paying for the hosts attention and getting a show, not for more bits per second. Free chat was previously unlimited but they then cut it down to 5 minutes for "non approved" members, and have finally stopped it altogether, that means anybody who hasn't yet paid in $2.95 to be "age verified". Getting verified also gives you a 5 free group chat minutes though.
Prices vary by model but I'm seeing 'semi private' -- meaning group chat -- for $2 and real private for $3 a minute which is pretty good for this quality of video. The site supports a cam2cam feature, which they call "Back cam" -- but you the viewer have to install WME (Windows Media Encoder) -- they do give instructions on how to do that but it's rather more complex than the flash-based systems for cam2cam that some other sites use. You'll get better quality though. I hung out in the free chat with one of the girls called Ariana to see what the traffic was like, it's not that busy but the host was doing her best to keep everybody happy. No free flashes though, just being nice and sociable. The who's online screen has either a brief view with just thumbs or a full view which shows a bit of bio data, but the brief thumbs view is actually better in that it shows you if the host is available for free chat. In the full view every one has a "free chat" button regardless, if you click it for a girl who is not in free chat then it prompts you to enter pay chat instead -- it does ask though and specify the price clearly. There is also a dating area -- different girls though -- and an astrology section if that's your thing. (It's at the top of the page, not very obvious.) Lastly there is "camtruevoyeur" which is a separate but associated pay site where you get live feeds from a house. It's a standard paysite with a $3 one day trial or $35/month free -- which you can pay out of your camtrue cam account if you want. Basically you get access to behind the scenes cameras in the studio which is located in St. Petersburg, Russia. There are always 4 models in the studio as well as the administrator. All payments at the camtrue sites are handled via Paycom.net so you can use the standard credit cards. Payment for models is 40% - 60% but with several gotchas -- new viewers get 5 minutes free and you only get 50 cents a minute if they use it on you. Weekly payment but with 4 weeks delay, and min $100. US Check or wire. If you are from Eastern Europe then you have to go via a nominated agent called elivebusiness.ru.
