Camgirl sites are getting better at making suggestions for which girls would be interesting for a viewer. Stripchat is generally ahead in this I think with the “Special for You” being a pretty good match to what kind of girls I’d like to watch, even if I’m not following them.
Chaturbate also works ok, with their “discover” tag which isn’t personalized I believe but still helps to focus on who is hot at the moment.
Recommendations on any kind of website are not new, Amazon was telling me which books I should read for years before Netflix started to advise me on shows I’d like.
But on most recommendation systems there is an acknowledgement that you might want to hide certain suggestions. I mean at Netflix you get to thumbs down a show if it doesn’t appeal, or even remove it from your viewing history. However, on camgirl sites, there seems to be no such option. If a particular model doesn’t interest you, or worse, if you find their content turns you off, you’re still stuck seeing their thumbnails and recommendations.
This lack of control over what appears on your screen can be frustrating and discouraging for users who want a more tailored and enjoyable experience.
Controls like this mean you can spend more time on what you want. However, on camgirl sites, I have yet to see it work like that.
I was hopeful therefore when I noticed a new help page at Cherry TV that said “Can I hide models I’m not interested in?“
Surely this would be a new feature that many CherryTV fans would appreciate. Imagine being able to curate your viewing experience to exclude models that don’t match your preferences. It would save time and enhance the overall user experience.
But when I read the article just posted last this week it goes “Unfortunately, we don’t have this service on our platform, to hide any model you aren’t interested in.“
That is kind of sad. I would guess they have got enough queries about this to write a FAQ article about it, but why not then also implement it in their code?
A missed opportunity I think.
Cherry has plenty of models online, and now with their super-easy sign-up using your Google account, you can quickly start exploring the site. Maybe with a little encouragement, they will implement this, or surely another one of the cam sites could see that it would be a good feature.
I mean the more you let viewers focus on just the girls you like, the sooner you get to the win-win where the camgirl is just right for the viewer and everybody is happy.
Have I missed out on a site that lets you do that? To dismiss recommendations or to hide or block camgirls you have considered but decided against?
Even without it, Cherry is still worth a look if you haven’t tried it.
Or signup as a model:
And let me know if you find another cam site that does allow hide/dismiss/block of camgirls!
