The new camsite Cherry.TV which is still in Beta but growing rapidly as it signs up more new cam girls has introduced a levels system to encourage girls to broadcast there more.
As with any new cam site, the models who join are reluctant to put all their efforts into one platform and tend to split cam with another site. Although Cherry is ok with this there is always the downside that the model will naturally have more fans on their existing cam site, and so end up spending more attention over there.
Introducing levels and different payouts for different levels helps to encourage models to pay more attention to their chat room at Cherry. That means when a viewer goes in and starts chatting they are more likely to get some attention, which is is a win-win-win for the camsite, the camgirl and the viewer.
Like many, but not all, camsites there are discounts for viewers who buy more tokens, and with the payout for tokens to the model being variable it ends up a bit confusing as to how much they get paid in a percentage term. Therefore there is a nice chart that lays it all out in their support section.
“Users can level up by tipping models and paying for shows. Models and users can also see each other’s levels as well, and because of this, serious clients will have an easier time finding responsive and engaging models, and models will know who actually tips and pays for shows,” said VP of Business Development Paul Ashworth.
This means that if a viewer goes to the site and becomes a regular buyer of tokens, and spends them on a high-level girl she will be getting two-thirds of the money, and even more, if the viewer signed up under her referral code.
