The software WebVideo was said to be the code behind MoonlightFriends which is closed as well as the gay site cupidocam.com (which seems to have transition) and Sexxxcamslive which is closed I believe as is wellcams. Don't take this to mean that WebVideo kills sites though, there are several sites still using it including
It used to be java I think but is now using Flash for viewer and chathost. The server side is still java based though, Tomcat I presume, and mySQL for the db. H.264 format using Live Media Encoder from Adobe is also available on the host end. Streaming from the server uses Red5 streaming server. Billing and affiliate functionality is built in. Chathosts do not have to download an EXE to run on their Windows platform, they just used Flash in the browser. I presume it still works fine with with camsplitter! The product is licensed by server and comes in three sizes, the basic is $1,495 which is dirty cheap but does not include all features. The full package is about $4.9K but don't forget to add on customization either by your own programmer or getting softservice to do it at $17/hr.
