NeedLiveRather strange name here for small but established camsite. Around the middle of 2006 NeedLive started to advertise in the forum for hosts and have been slowly building since then. Today they have about 20 hosts online which is more than double a year ago so moving in the right direction but still not an ifriends or imLive. Having abandoned the Firecracker video system they now have their own flash based video chat with full screen, 2 way voice and cam2cam. There are wish lists and profile pages and host can create teaser videos to display on their profile as well as upload their own recorded movies to a "movie section" Every host I saw was in private chat so that sound promising for the hosts, but there were no free chats for viewers to get to know you either. that prompted me to go over the recorded movie section which is in two separate parts -- VOD theater and "recorded shows". The first one seemed to just be a bunch of porn clips which are charged at 0.49/minute, which is not a good deal at all. Over in the "recorded shows" area though it is better with actual videos of the chathosts on the site themselves. These are more expensive at 0.99/minute but at least you are seeing hosts you know and have talked with. Before you buy anything of course you need a membership, and a free membership is well - free - just an email address and an activation link and you are ready to go. You can buy credits via many different systems; accept ePassporte, Visa, MasterCard, DinersClub, Solo/Switch, Discover, JCB, Maestro, Visa Electron payments. Interestingly if you choose epassporte there doesn't seem to be a minimum amount -- at least none is specified. But for the others you have to put in $30 at a time. If you want to be a performer here then you'll find more details in the forum, but you won't find much information on their site. They have plenty about how to do age documentation and technical requirements, but nothing about payments! I've been told though that they offer a 50% share, and a $100 signup bonus plus $20 for every member you bring to the site. So many sites do this -- I think it's not a surprise they don't get a lot of hosts signup. But then maybe they are only looking for studios. Oh and the whole site has a German user interface as well if you click on the German flag in the top right, but as always it isn't 100%. But then all Germans with a computer are bound to read English, right? If you have any more information about NeedLive.com, please drop me a note in the webcam forum, thanks.
