Delisted 26 Aug 2008 MyLaviandemyLaviande was started in June of 2003 so they should have had time to work the kinks out of the system by now though. it can no longer claim to be a new site. Although they claim to have updated it a lot recently I don't see a lot of change. You still have to register even to see the girl gallery or anything. So this is really not attractive compared with other sites that let you go straight in to see gallery pictures or even free teaser chat. They have a "free tour" which is just screen shots like any pay site. The user interface is still extremely confusing -- clicking in "gallery" takes you to a signup page; with no indication of how to login. Then to go back to the index page there is a TINY home icon that is hard to see let alone click on. Even joining is very confusing; if you click the join now button it takes you to an very long agreement page which is ok; you click on the I Agree then it takes you to a form to fill in with all your details. Once you have joined you can add credits to your account -- which by default wants to charge you $100, but don't worry; there is an option to start with just $10 if that's all you want. They really need a link on every page that says "login here"! What you have to do is go to that home page then click the "instant access" button; that takes you to the login screen. When I finally got in I found two girls on line -- plus "online support" -- clicking on the thumbnails of the girls did not work though; it opened a temporary pop-up window that disappeared after a second. A small magnifying glass icon next to the picture takes you to a bio page with the usual details. They do mention you need Windows Media Player 9 to view their feeds which means they are using real streaming I suppose. And I'm told 25 fps which would be very smooth -- but like I said with no free teaser chat how do people tell? Hosts can sign up at no charge with all the usual terms and conditions. A microphone will let you send sound as well as video. In the small print it says "the name of the Laviande network is affiliated with is Secret Shows", what does that mean? Another different-front-end-for-same-girls? I wish they would stop that, so confusing! What is missing is any details about what the payment terms are in simple language -- what is the payment % and how often is payment made and so on. One of their people has been posting in the webcam forum, though indicating they need new hosts; so they are still trying to develop which is good.
