Despite this possibly dicey start the cover photos seem to focus on girls in lace -- and yes -- satin. At first it seems all you can get for free it seems though is a typical pay-site type tour -- there is nothing on the front page that says click here to see who's on line or video chat now or anything like that... What you have to do is click the "Members" link. This is pretty counterintuitive for those who are used to sites were you join first; and only then can use the members entrance. On the day I tried the join link wasn't working but I tried the members link and got to a who's online page with five girls. Each one has a bio page with the usual info including schedule time and personal details. The free picture gallery for some of the girls are nice studio "glamour" shots, not webcam and not at all hard core. Plenty of lace here. Hit the free chat button beside any girls pic in the who's online and SatinGirlsLive immediately goes into a free video window. Java based and medium sized it's a standard webcam window; Free Chat is only 2 frames per second. Private chat is faster and has audio as well. As well as the Java video they are promising ActiveX, but it isn't available yet. Good enough I think -- better to stay away from ActiveX if Java is available. I believe the software they are using is the XBLiveWare system. Only members get text chat though; membership is "free". Even after you are in as a free member that's limited: Limitation of time in free chat members will be required to have a paid up account with a minimum of a Bronze $25 membership to remain in free chat for more the 30 minutes in any daily website visit. When you want to go into private you have to get those credits or "satinbucks" as they call them. Visa, Mastercard and Discovery are ok here -- unlike a lot of sites they handle their own credit card processing; credit card will be billed as "Clifford Marketing" which is the name of the company. Also unusually phone number is a required field because they verify all purchases by phone. I guess this cuts down on credit card fraud which is good for all because if it keeps their costs down then your costs go down too. still I'm not sure many people will want a call back even though they promise to use the utmost discretion when calling as Clifford Marketing. You are limited in how much you can buy on one card -- but if you have two cards (and who doesn't these days) then you can use two separate cards to make purchases then you get allowed to make larger purchases. Another anti-fraud measure obviously. All in all the financial aspect of this site is one of the most complex; although I can understand the reasoning it strikes me as confusing and rather restricting to the casual purchaser. Customer support is online most of the time, though strangely they are not using their own built in chat system but are relying upon "LivePerson" -- a service that many major ecommerce sites use to provide chat if you are buying a PC online or something like that. If as a viewer glamour models are your thing -- particularly if you like the garter-belt-and-suspender-lacy-lingerie-look -- then this site could be for you. Just don't forget to have that second credit card ready to get past the purchase limitations. If you want to join as a host there is a link on the front page to take you to the regular information for hosts. You have to download, sign and fax in an agreement with your photo ID. Your share is 50% though in the fine print they note they reserve the right to hold back %20 against bad credit cards and so on. Not clear if they actually do this. Payment is by Western Union and is sent every two weeks about a week after the end of the period. Minimum is $100 per period. They do allow you, even encourage you, to promote yourself with your own web site and can provide links direct to your video bypassing other girls.
