Searches?

Ok well every once in a while I look to see how my site ranks in the search engines. And i only really look at two for now. I just have a simple question when i search on yahoo or google. the site does show up but I would have to say that 95% of the results show from sites that i never listed the site under. I recently figured out about back links etc etc. and I am sure these sites are from my sign up for places like sex.com and google ads. Because the wording thats showing up under the listing is the same wording I used at these sites. Anyway when I go to these links there is nothing listed about my site. So how can I stop things like this happening. I mean one part of me says its not a bad thing cause it's showing my site name but another part of me says whats the use cause you cant go to those results and click on anything pertaining to my site. if you go to google or yahoo you and search on jollycams not jolly cams, you will see what i mean. Really not a lot you can do to fix this. The best you can do is to promote your site so that it actually appears #1 for that term.

If the other sites are really cheating (what shows in the google cache is not the same as when a person visits it) then you can try reporting to the search engine. But they do not take instant action; they just note it as a thing to be adjusted in their algorithm.

Lol .. your webmaster should know how to fix that ..
Cus this is stuff you should know before you EVER get into Designing a site..

Edited comments of rage against people who say they know what they are doing ... and have no clue .. Or dont care ...
