Hi! I am considering be a webcam girl, but I was wondering if there is like some helpful tips in setting up my room, clothes to wear, etc to be successful. I have signed up with a few companies, but no one really provides a training manual to a help a newbie get started.
Any help, links or suggestions would be helpful! Thanks.

Lighting, Lighting, Lighting. I find many people think their web cams suck but usually it is the lighting that is the issue. General rule of thumb I have noticed is to double the lighting that you think you need, then add 2 more. Keep the lighting behind or beside the cam. never have it behind you unless you are going for a certain mood or look.
Smile, move, CHAT. Don't sit there with a bored expression on your face (if this is a site with free chat that is). nothing worse than seeing a girl online with a scowl that never ever moves...look like you will be ON FIRE in the sack. Show personality...guys can get nude chicks all over the net... let your personality shine through.
There are a million other tips and many girls have varying ideas that work for them... the best way to figure it all out is to get on there and ask questions along the way as you think of them. You will eventually come into your own style. Post anything you want here and I am sure many of us will be happy to put in our two cents!
Good luck and HAVE FUN!

I would recommend you to use a DV Cam or a usual analog cam and a capture card or a usual video camera that has support for USB streaming.
If you realy think a usual webcam is enaugh for you then look for the following futures to the webcam you will buy:
- CCD sensor, at least 1.2 MP or grater
- maximum video resolution at least 640x480 or grater
I use Philips ToUcam Pro II for some of the models but we are doing everyting to get some DV or miniDV cams for all our models.
Demandings of the market are increasing and a good picture quality is the on of the most important things to consider. |
