Well I was sent 2 screen shots last night from my programmer. He is building a full site package ie Admin area, user management, host management, picture management, invoiceing and yes live streaming. We are using MS Media as I love the flexibility of it. I thought this was going to take him forever. But he really just got moving on this over the past month and im impressed with what he has so far. I can code but not like him. He is going to try to implement MS DRM (digital rights management) along with some encryption. I dont see this as a problem for him as everything he says he will do he has. It was interesting for him to tell me that the 1st interface he had was not working correctly due to him working in .NET but he says "no big deal I rewrote it in c+ over the night" I'm happy to have him. It was very nice to see an interface along with all this talk as to what he is doing. Anyway just had to post this someplace as now I am very happy |

| I have not figured out how the affiliate stuff works yet. But have not ruled it out. You know i got a bad taste from dealing with one company before that did programs like that so at this point I really have to figure it out. I'm sue its a good thing cause everyone seems to be doing it. Heck I just figured out the other day about the google adwords. And that program is awesome. But from what I know about the programer is anything we want to do is not a problem. I have been working with him in RL for over 3 years. He is 24 and has been coding since 13. I would say his name here but dont think that would be cool. But if you were to google his name and see some of the security proposals he worte back in 92 that are up on the web, you woudl see his is one of those serious computer guys. Hony cany good place to learn about the affiliate programs? Also anyone know of a good CO LO other then UUNet. on the east coast of the USA? UUNet wants like $1600 a month for just a t1. |

Get your programmer to code an aff program, no rocket science here. The up side is you can add attractive features other people don't have, the down side is that some webmasters like better the "3rd party aff program" if they don't know your site.
You're using ccbill though right? You could plug straight into their aff program.
If you end up doing your own then the key thing to attract webmasters is:
Choice -- let them choose % or PPS
Price -- you have to look at the rest of the industry and provide similiar figures
Tracking -- giving the webmaster a way to track their traffic using subcodes
Reporting -- give as much detailed report as you can so that sophisticiated webmasters can do analysis.
In my opinion aff programs are key to a successful webcam site. I have not seen a major site that didn't have a seriously paying aff program first.

| Well We looked into using ccbill's program and we cant. Its not possible from what we can tell. So we will have to go with our own. Problem we have is ccbill stats no one will sign up to the program unless they see they are getting 50%. Well thats not possible. We pay our models 50% so a quick run of the numbers here. Say a $20 show (sale) $10 goes to the model. $10 goes to us. Well not really we have more bills to pay then the model but anyway. With the ccbill program we would have to give the sender of traffic $10.00 so we either give up all our profit or we tell the model they are not getting 50% anymore. They would only get $5.00 from the $20 sale. Im sure they would run from the site ASAP. lol. Yeah we only pay out 25% lol. Now If I could get some sites willing to do the 50% on my profit IE they would get the $5.00 from the $20.00 show then I would go for it. But right now thats going to be hard one to overcome. Any ideas? |

Hm, somehow it is possible because I get regular checks from ccbill... I think livecamnetwork are one of them but there are several.
Another way is to pay a flat $ instead of %. You have to work out exactly what a paying customer is worth to you in the long run to determine what you should pay.
On a site with enough girls the average customer spends about $150/$200. That's not including the people who signup and never spend, only those who actually spend.
