Yes we did if it helpful to have worked on those other sites first. Gave us an idea of what things were like in the real adult entertainment world of chathosts.

And it also helped by giving us a few people to come see us also..

I recomend anyone to take the leap into working their own site. it's much better then working for others. With others you never know what your going to do wrong by breaking some rule that you didnt even remember. And, the best part is you dont have to be nice to someone who is not nice to you. Again no worries about being banished for not being nice to one who is not nice to you from the start.

But! There is a down side to working your own site. that being you have to come up with your own traffic. Although we do have some good traffic we could always use more!! Of course anyone with a website will tell ya' that..lol

hello c2play4cam. I think it must be very hard to have your own site. You need to know lots of technical things. But for the advantages you say. I think at any site you can "ban" the troublemakers. Is it more money to have your own site? I guess so otherwise you won't do it.

Yes this is true you do need to know a little about the tech. end of how the software works not to mention .html, .php, etc. But its just a matter of alot of reading lots of practice with trial and error.

And yes alot of sites do have a "ban" thing going on. But then you have some members sending letters saying you broke some rule by doing whatever. of course that does not mean you'll have a problem because all the sites nowadays record all the chats and videos when a member is paying Just in case the is a problem. You never know though

But for us the thing is we just dont want to do this for someone elses site we prefer to do this for us... Dont get me wrong its NOT as easy as joining a site and just working. It is also nowhere as cheap! we just would rather have the freedom of knowing we dont have to answer to anyone.

I like the idea of having the feedom! I guess the technical side I can hand over to my boyfriend who does all this type of thing for me anyway.

Do you have any suggestions about how to set up such a site in the first place? Is it something you can buy pre-packaged or really have to build it from scratch?

My husband and I thought we wanted to start our own site....and just the sheer amount of work you have to do for set up is unbelievibly crazy...worst of all getting merchant accounts was just way too much for us. Hehe and getting traffic is easy...getting PAYING traffic is another story!

When I started at the site I work on now almost 3 years ago it was beautiful. All the rules are posted and completely clear and I get a paycheck on time every week. Not once have I ever had a chargeback from a customer as the site owners have a real person monitoring each and every transaction to prevent fraud. I have never found the rules constricting, however I am sure that there are girls that have.

I admire you that you were able to create your own site! I hope that all those sweat and tears paid off!
