| Yeah some of the girls I know on f4f have seen a major decrease in their privates since the introduction of the VIP program. Now they have all these 'gold' members just hanging out in the room waiting for other people to buy the privates. There are other ways to implement a program though I suppose. |

Right, you have to remember that as the web cam site owner you are the middle man between the two parts of this transaction (the viewer and the host).
Your mission (should you choose to accept it) is to create a win-win situation where you get to take a % of that win! Too many sites seem to be trying to create a loose-win-loose situation where they come out on top and that goes nowhere.

thankfully im an old member for f4f, so i dont pay $25 a month to leech off others, lol
i think a frequent customer program (like frequent flyer miles) is better than the VIP crap f4f has, you still reward customers who buy lots of time, but dont get the cheap jackasses f4f's VIP program has
id go for someone who gets 20 minutes a month ($80 at $4/min), give them a 25% discount and a nice gold name |

You'll probably need a moderate to large advertising budget. This isn't only for attracting customers to your site, but maybe "signing bonuses" for the performers. Perhaps pay them as soon as they rack up X amount of minutes, sort of like how a casino site pays out their signup bonus fees to their clients. This creates a pretty good "win-win-win" situation because, your models will work harder to hit that bonus, at the same time your customers will always have models logged on to watch and interact with, and for you, your site goes from zero to hero in just a small period of time.
Also, if you have the capital for it, there are loads of ways to create small stuidos or small remote networks of your own where you can produce profits from both the network fees and the chat host fees.
The ideas are really endless, so play around a bit. |

Its kind of a catch 22 - girls don't want to work on a new site because it doesn't have much traffic yet, and visitors who do come won't stay because there aren't many girls.
I am using a few things right now - a signup bonus and a 10% commission paid on all purchases by a member brought to the site by the performer.
Does anybody else have any other ideas?
The site will be operational in a week.

I noticed your site has not gone live yet. It's interesting that you offer $100 bonus for new performers who signup, but the main problem with new site's is getting new members with credit cards!. It is very difficult because there is so much competition, older sites are now trying to offer more 'free' services like audio in chat.
One idea would be to give members who signup with a credit card, $40? of free credit on your site to spend. $40 sounds like a lot of money but in reality 50% goes straight back in your pocket!. If you signup 10 model's you are going to give away $1000. I think it would make more business sense to spend that $1000 on attracting 50 new members with credit cards. It also means the girls wont get bored of waiting for a member to visit her chatroom or hoping one of the new free chatters will signup!. |

I don't understand how a paying $100 to models for joining could work.
How long would they have to stay for you to get your money's worth? When would the $100 be paid?
To me, the key phrase is, "unlimited upside."
"just" a cam site is by it's very nature has limited potential per person as long as all that's available to that person is "trading minutes for dollars."
If you can find a way to have the best of both worlds, pay per minute in real time as well as residual income, you'll be on your way.
My compensation program offers 25% commission to the model when one of her Fans pays $40 to upgrade my software from the free version to the basic version ( an upgrade that can be required or optional - the model's choice ). The software is a builder, publisher, viewer of a new kind of content I have created for a person/company to communicate to an audience.
The model can publish content that is free to view and/or requires the Fan buy a subscription FROM her. Not from me. She is in "first position" on that subscription money, can charge what she wants and keeps 100% (minus whatever the payment system charges her, of course).
If someone is in a country where that's not possible, I'll process that payment for her for the same amount the payment processor charges ( so it basically costs her double to get paid... but that a far cry better than 20-40% like some cam sites get away with ).
Again, if she's in first position, keeping the money, she will make more money, be happier and work harder to build a good Fan Club.. because attracting more Fans means more money in her pocket. If even 100 Fans are paying $10 per month to see her pics, text, video, audio on their screens all the time, $1000 can go a long way. Everyone is happy.
FUI Fan Club is something a studio could add to their program very easily.
I agree with the person who said, "win-win."
One of the 7 habits of highly effective people (Steven Covey) is,
"win-win or no deal."
My experience is that there is such a thing as a deal that's "too good to be true." In a world where the norm is "50% or less", some don't believe 100%. But, I'm not going to let that make me offer a worse deal. lol |
