The real problem with Video/Chat sites..... Read if you dare

Please read this entire post. as if you read only half you will only get half the idea/thought/suggestion/blurb ....

These days its easy to get software, its easy to get girls (most times), its even easy to get traffic.

Most software is limited because it is built Templated (Templated meaning easy to duplicate has some features that all like but none of the custom stuff few people want.), and modifications can cost as much as the software. Or it requires a special server. Or it will work with this PC and not this other PC, Or works with Windows PC but not with Windows MAC .. Some work with capture cards, some do not. some work with this cam some do not. etc etc...

Then to have it wrote custom is not cheap either but then you (should) get exactly what you want, prolly take some time also. Needs tested etc..

What it is not easy to do is get a merchant account to accept creditcards over the internet for ADULT services or products.

Here is an example:

Person buys the software, server, website design, etc...

Person gets his FIRST (or may have an existing one) internet merchant account.

Person goes live with there site.

OPPPS person gets charge back, another, another, another. Poof goes merchant account, possible even the entire project.

(Did you know that American Express has a 100% approval of Customer Charge backs, if the purchase was made on the internet???? no way to dispute, no fraud department, no nothing, its up to you the merchant to track the customer down and then he can still say, NO! :: THIS IS NOT JUST ADULT INTERNET BUSINESS, THIS IS ALL INTERNET BUSINESS. BE AWARE!!)

(Did you know there is a $1790 charge to accept VISA on your ADULT merchant account? so you get your ADULT merchant account prices range from free-$3000, then you have to pay VISA $1790 also. If you use a 3rd party billing service you still have to pay $750 to VISA to accept VISA. All these fees are NON REFUNDABLE!!!)

Ok person either Folds right here or he tries for a 3rd party billing company (or god forbid another merchant account), this puts limits on how much money you can actually make now. Your site was up .. then down girls didnt get paid. your up shit creek without a paddle. you can imagine where it goes from there.

Person has a merchant account SCAR for life. Will cost him lots of money to get another even for normal Non Adult stuff.

Funny thing is. iFriends i dont think they have an ADULT merchant account, neither does ImLive. HHHMMmmmmm thatll make you think. But see they got there merchant account a while back when merchant companies werent so strict (were noobies and had no clue the internet was going to be a 'REAL' thing). Now you try that and they already know what your doing. Might still be able to slip it past a company, but doubtful.

Most the times its not the Site owners who are not paying the Girls its the cheap asses that come in and purchase then charge back, or those people who steal credit cards and try to make cash from them using these sites.

The real Sad thing is, These girls can be making so much more money, with a little investment in there own site "yourname.com", CCBill (my preferd 3rd party billing company, of course there are others) without VISA, and a cheap digital camera.....

Example:

Chathost purchases a domain name and gets a small site built using pictures of her self for promotion of her EXCLUSIVE content/site.

Gets CCBill setup for membership access.

Charges $20/mth(recurring or not, perhaps not recurring, less comitment) to get in see any videos or pictures she has collected and updating with.

Chathost goes and haunts there camsite of choice showing off there site.

After a while she has a clientel built up. and gets live cam(could start out with it first too) to her site. nothing fancy streams good quality video/audio (most the quality depends on the Cam, Cam PC, and connection speed.)

Gets a page setup that she can setup a schedule for shows,

Sets up a 2nd CCBill account for the Show site.

Sets a price of $60 for 30minute show (more less your choice).

Show time comes she has had 10 people buy shows, $600 in 30mins,
Streams cost $100/mth, she can run as many shows as she wants.
one show pays off stream cost and hosting cost prolly some webmaster costs too. and you can do 10 more shows for the month (or more, ALL PROFIT)........

Heres the real thing .. EXCLUSIVE content Sells .. each of these Chathosts is EXCLUSIVE... In the 10yrs i been building sites on the internet if your content is exclusive to your site you WILL make money ....

I dont care if you focus on big clits , puffy nipples, or good ol married couple sex. if its EXCLUSIVE you will make money.

Another thing, there are A LOT of other billing methods out there other then VISA. and if your client wants into your membership area or cam stream bad enough he will find a way to pay you.

$20/mth and $60/show are just my choice of prices you could go lower, or higher.

EXCLUSIVE content, Meaning it cant be bought, and used by every tom dick and harry who has a site, also meaning you took the pictures or videos your self, also meaning CAN BE SEEN NO WHERE ELSE!!...

Some of this boils down to having a Webmaster you can trust to tell you what you need to do, and helping you to accomplish it also. Honest webmasters are hard to come by, ones that speak your language are even harder lol. We/I try to be as honest as possible and if i dont know for sure ill tell you i dont know (then run off and find out what it is i dont know).

Take for instance if Joe blow comes in and asks me a hundred questions about the adult market and then asks if a Site useing the same content that everyone and there mother is using will make him a lot of money.

Ill tell him the honest truth ..

NO not unless you have a couple hundred thousand to throw into marketing to compete with the big boys.

I mean sure you can put up a site and pay like 10k a month to stream all the current new content out there into you members area.

But 1 your new to the internet so it will take a while for your site to get known;

2 they prolly already have a membership at another site that has the exact same content he gets from your site.

3 youll never get top rankings unless you spend a fortune.

4 your content costs will kill you in the first 6mths cus of the few sales youve got isnt enough to cover them.

And dont even get me started on affiliate banner pages that webmaster sell for $400+.

I think ive said enough LOL .

I have been thinking along the same lines but getting all the information has been murder lol.

Taking it one step at a time- but would love to collaborate with other web masters along these lines-

I have access to models and fresh content but as to setting up the live streaming and billing it another story.
