How many hours do you work?

Do you work a regular shift in front of the webcam, and if so how many hours a day or week do you do?

I find the most I could do was about two hours a day, just found it got too tedious after that.

When I first started you would catch me on cam 10am-10pm .. Just cause it was new.. however I did take very long and many breaks. I work for myself no rep. 8 months later.. I get on when I get on and leave when I leave.. I've gotten on for 15 minutes and then said "ahh to hell with it" and left for the day...

I do try to put in at least 4 hours collectivly (sp) a day.

I am working in office. I can do webcam only at weekend. Or at evenings. Every Sunday I try to do 8 hours. It is very tiring. It is very boring to sit for many hours. With no customers. Or only free chat.

Hi FatPig, yes I know what you mean about the sitting around for hours. That's the real boring part. What sort of office do you work in? I guess you mean when you are not on webcam you have a regular job huh?

How many of you have regular jobs? Me, I'm a "kept woman"! My boyfriend pays for me so I don't have to work other than to do the webcam jobs.

I work 3-4 hours a day usually 4 days a week or so,, I work when I have mood to work,also really hating boring hours when noones in and u staring at a monitor bored

When I watch TV I miss my guests cuz guests usually dont have any entering sound like members do .Now I trying to sit more and make more success but I think everybody knows some dead nights and you can never know will night be fuull of customers or not. I know some studios have girls whosit 12 hours a day 6 days a week and of coarse they do alot but i am not so hardworking. I do my work when i have mood chatting with people when I am bored or whatever. i am working since beginnning of 2000 but long time was in a studio and began working on my own only since 2003 and maybe this kind of work not so busy like it was in 2000 ( I thinkits because when it was like something new ) but still trying to do my best

I do three 6 hour shifts every week. The site I work for guarantees pay of at least $10 per hour for anyone that puts in 6 hour consecutive (sp) shifts. I always make more than that (well 95 % of the time), but I really like the security of the $10/hour to fall back on!

One thing I have discovered is that being online at specific times each week makes it easier for the guys to find you. If you "pop on whenever" and there is a big spending customer that liked you one week and then can't find you the next...you may have lost him for good. By keeping regular hours I have increased my client base quite a lot. It took me about a year to figure that out....lol

Also I have what I call my lounge lizards. These are guys that hang out in free chat but never buy shows. To be honest...as long as they NEVER beg for freebies I like having them there. I encourage them to join in the free chat and it can be quite fun. Much more fun than just sitting there. As long as they are respectful...and keep me company...it keeps me sane during those 6 hours. Once in a while they eventually do buys shows as well.

Hi everyone I'm Alexya and I'm rather new in this bussiness ( 2 months).
Please Katwoman can you tell me about that site that pays a flat rate per hour?
I work now at CamContacts and I'm becoming a chathost at iFriends soon but my income is currently quite poor. At camcontacts the payrate is low and the customers leave quickly.
Also can anyone give me some pointers?

Hi Kat, I'd also like to know where to work for a flat $10 an hour pay.....I can do that for sure! I'm desperate for the $, and if anyone else has any other ideas, I'd love to hear. Also, I have recently been on Cybermate.tv, and I've made quite a bit money, but it doesn't help when they don't actually send it to you. Has anyone else worked for them? I'd like to know if and when they actually pay. I've waited two of thier so called "pay periods" and still nothing.

Hi Kelly, I have not heard of Cybermate.tv but will check them out.

Sites that don't pay are a problem -- sometimes I find you have to track down the right person and complain, and then they do somethin and checks start flowing.

Of course sometimes it is just that the company has no money and they are avoiding paying.
