| The reason I am asking is I just got one and he hates to be away from me so I can't close the door or he cries really loud! What od you all do when you need to work and don't want the dog on cam or in the room with you? I have a Shih Tzu |

i used to have a cat  but i think is very unhealthy to have them around your bed with the hair and all you know. I never had a puppy before i think if i would have one i couldnt stand the barking all the time   |

I have dogs but i learned them to stay away from me when im working.. but I work on my bed and thats a forbidden place for them 
so they know that they can jump on my bed when im sleeping or when im working there is no difference for them, maybe you can teach you dog the same

I have 3 cats they eventually get use to the fact your working, if you stick to a schedule they will follow the scedule too.
I leave my cats with toys, food and fresh water til I am done, they will bang on the door while I am working but eventually they will stop and find something to do. |

| Is that a cat vs dog thing? I think cats are much better able to look after themselves when the boss is busy. |

It depends on the animal. out of my 3 , one of them he is very needy he has to know where i am at all times and I am in a small one bedroom apartment.
The door closes and I am working nad he already is telling me he feels abandoned. so sometimes I have to just show him my face so he knows I haven't left him. Some put thier aniamals in a cage while they work, so it really depends on what they need. |

| Thanks for responding! I have started using a crate when I work and it works now! He is never allowed on my bed period. But the couches yes! He is ok with it too! He does not cry anymore he knows I am in the other room. So he is getting used to our house. |

| They don't all cage their animals....We seen on Streamate very clearly on cam a couple whose big dog walks right by them stops and they pet him too... |

| she wanted to be with me all the time. I work in my computer room with a large chair. She stayed under the desk, but got excited if she heard my clients voices. Each time she came and pushed herself into me, I gently pusshed her back out of view, and then petted her. She seemed to learn that she could not come really close to me when at my computer. She is no problem now!! |

| lol i have a small dog and i stack pillows to lean against and put a blanket behind them...my dog sleeps the entire time i work and for the whole time i have been doing this i never had a problem. Maybe im just lucky? but in between pvts i will go and see him and pet him. I dont like keeping him cooped up so at least this way he's not alone. I know my site rules say no dogs, but no one has ever seen him lol!!!! He also knows if he is good and lays down the whole time he gets to go for a long walk on the beach =) |
