Well I am wondering who are the best cam sites to work for these days.

I am hearing some are having problems with naked.com and I am wondering who are the reputable cam sites out there to work for .

well Ive looked into almost every single cam site out there. Theyre all basically the same. And different people find success on different ones. The most important thing to do is to check out the site youre considering from both the models persepctive and the members perspective.

Check out a few models and see number one if youd fit in there. (if theyre all 100 lbs and blonde and youre not then youre gonna have trouble finding customers on that site) When you find one that looks appealing check out a few models who seem similar to yourself in open chat. See how theyre treated. See how often they get prvts or tips or what theyre expected to do. And make sure you check out the site at different times of the day - see how many models are listed as online and how many members are in the rooms.

Its important to check at different times because of the time zones. You may find a site thats dead around 8 or 9 pm your local time is packed at 2 or 3 in the afternoon because of this. And thats a great way to add a second source of income with out detracting from your primary.

Typically ones that charge more per min pay a lesser percentage and you get overall less clients but the pay ends up being the same per hour. You have to take into account if they allow open free guest chat or limit free chat to registered members. If they record the prvts and have them available for resale or members free archives and if you get any additonal compensation for that.

On the sites that allow you to set your own rate you have to be careful not to set it too high or you wont get any clients until you build a fan base. Set it too low and youll be working way too hard for pennies per minute.

If you monitor at all the big pirate forums youll see most of their content comes from a few specific sites, So you have to consider that as well. Google the site name and rip off or chargebacks and youll find various blogs detailing models complaints. You have to balance out all the info though. There are very few blogs or reviews out there where models boast about a particular site besides the propaganda the sites put out there. Ive never heard anyone brag that such and such a site is awesome and treats the models with respect and covers all chargebacks because the truth is they dont exsist. All the sites at one point or another have screwed the models whehter its through chragebacks or changing the chat rate % with out notice.

A decent site for models wishing to expand though would be rude.com. Its one step below being independant in a way. Because you dont have to do any of the hosting or worry about payment processing and you can control the content on there. You can sell videos (or rent them at a lower rate) or x rated picture packages on there, you can do live group shows where you set a ticket price or even prvt per minute chat. You can also sell items on there like panties or toys. You get your own page that you can customize. And they pay you 50% of everything. Its done in chips but its not confusing at all because you set your price in dollars, they just charge the customers in chips.

The only draw back which may or may not be a drawback is they hold your first 100 dollars in earnings to cover potential chargebacks but if or when you close your accout youll get it back with in 60 days. They also record all prvt shows and upload them for sale automatically on your page. The prices on those are automatically calculated depending on how many minutes the show was. And you can only delete one prvt show from the archive per day. So if you do 3 or 4 or more prvt sessions a day theyre going to stack up but if anyone purchases it you are compensated.

The one thing that I do love on rude.com. is the prvt chat though. There is absolutely NO NUDITY in the lobby. You actually record a one minute teaser that members can play when they come into your room so you DONT have to do that stand up and show me what you got thing constantly. Theres actually a giant tranparent font over the free chat video stream which says no nudity and no requesting in the lobby. Someone comes in, they play the video maybe attempt to make some small talk and if they want a show they click the button. All the shows have sound and it charges more for cam to cam shows as well.

The pay out is every 2 weeks. And for anyone who has their own website they have lots of features where you can incorporate it with embedded links to your content and what not. So its worth looking into.

(**edited to add- rude is now allowing nudity in the lobby- its not required and in fact many if not most of the hosts there do not show it at all... Its up to you how much you want to tease or reveal there- There is also a time limit in the lobby for the members. 2 mins if they have no credits and 5 mins if they do. Once thier time is up, they can still watch your stream or click to enter prvt - but can no longer type in the room, although you can... You also have the option there of turning on and off your stream as well as the chat. Meaning you can sit and be live and accept shows but not have the 'chat room' open, or you can have the chat room open but not have your live stream running, they will simply see a display pic of your choosing... Also if you are a female producer there you automatically get vip status when you sign up. Vip status gives you access to all the live group shows as well as all the voyeur houses on the site. The sign up is completly paperless and is very quick. The charge back system is a little bit different then other sites though. Members buy batches of chips. They are non refundable so you wont get chargebacks on single shows or refunds on single tickets because some one is dissatified. However you do get chargebacks lol. If a chips purchase is disputed- they all all reveresed. Example a stolen credit card is used to purchase 100 chips. 50 were used in prvt shows, 25 used in live shows, 25 used in voyeur houses. They are all reversed and multiple models are affected. However the card/user/info is banned from the site completely. You file one chargeback and youre out... A member purchases 100 chips and uses 15 in your prvt show and wasnt satsified- well too bad. He cant reverse it. He probably wont be back to see you though lol.

its a nice site though. a bit hard to navigate at first but very few restrictions. The profile pages are very much myspace style, where you can add music and wallpaper. You can post free content as well as paid content. And because the name isnt that well known and the profile aspect of it, its very easy to say- oh check out my rude profile. rude.com/myusername. You get roughly 1 dollar per referral, or 25% of what they spend- depending on your payout options. If you are independant you should look into it- it cant hurt)

Reason I asked is that I host webcam workshops in my city letting people know the potential of webcamming.

So I was hoping to get an idea for them to suggest what cam sites to look out for to start with but once I wrote down my own experience and found some clips on youtube I realized I had more then enough information for my workshop that it was a great success.

It also gave me the motivation to host more of them.
