Hello,

I have somewhat of an odd question.

Here's the story: I work at the international level for social causes. Due to the devastating financial times we are living, I'm unable to make ends meet. Thus, I've decided to go nude for pay lol (I hope I don't offend anyone). However, despite blocking certain areas/countries/etc. I run the risk of someone recognizing me, and this will not be good because I'd lose my job (which I so dearly love and for which I worked my butt off to study for).

Thus, I was hoping I could disguise myself with a wig and contacts. Would this be a problem for me signing up for a site? I mean, I can always send them a picture of me with the disguise and my "real self" on my ID.

Well I dont forsee a problem with contact lenses or even a wig for that matter. Youre allowed to dress up however you want. I just dont know if camming is the right industry for you.

Yes you can block certain areas. But you are only blocking them from entering your chat room. Its never 100 percent fool proof. It blocks based on IP addresses which can be blocked or re routed to appear to be from alternate locations.

Your picutres and videos are not blocked. Anyone anywhere online can see them. Part of the standard model contract requires that you sign over rights to this. Some sites record the prvt sessions and they are available for anyone to purchase regardless of area. You also give them the rights to use your name, images and anything you do on cam while connected to thier system for pretty much anything they see fit. Theres a couple of threads on here about model explotation.

There are also thousands of pirate forums where screencaps and prvt video sessions are posted for anyone to see. Some of these pirates collection goes back years. I know of one model who worked for less then a month 5 years ago and shes still finding prvt x rated sessions of herself floating around in those forums.

You have to go into this assuming you will be recorded and you will be exposed. From how you described your job and your love of it, you may want to rethink the risks.

I would very strongly advise you against working as a camgirl if you feel like this.

If your response to finding out that a co-worker at your day job has seen nude pictures of you isn't "cool!" then this is *not* a good job for you.

I mirror the other ladies' responses. If you are terribly afraid of being found out, I might pursue other avenues of part-time work. I hate fast food, I think it sucks, but I work a paltry 3 day work week at fast food now, and it's flexible enough and assures I'll have x amount of money per week. They are usually fine with people just working part time. I had a colleague at one point at my old job who just worked 2 days a week at a fast food place, and it was enough for the supplemental income he needed.

I would burnout if I worked more than I work there, but I safeguard my sanity by only making myself available a few days a week there.

I personally have not achieved the status of having a "grown-up's" job like yours, due to several personal issues I dealt with while in college...eating disorders, deaths in the family, being in an abusive relationship at the time, all hindered my progress in school, and I ended up flunking out (because I didn't ask for the help I needed out of embarassment). I have a lot of creativity and talent, and decided since school is not an option for me at this time, I am going to start an adult business and see if I can build it up to profitability in 1 or 2 years. I am proud of my busienss so far, as much of my personality is injected into it, and I treat it like my artistic baby. So I don't have a "real job" at present and don't expect I'll ever be a nine to fiver. I would not advise anyone who does have a serious career to go into this industry. But since I don't, I'm not worried about being found out...haha. If anyone I know calls me on it, I'll just be like, "well, what were you doing looking at porn, then?" hehehe

Also, it really does take a lot of time to be more successful than just making a little bit of extra money on the side in this industry. I probably put at least 40 hours of work into my business a week, and I've not made much money. It's because it takes tons of time and effort to create a successful venture. So I expect that maybe in a year or two to see profits that are more substantial. In the meantime I just put energy into creating and improving my site and products, remaining positive that in time the effort will pay off.
