Going to start cam modeling

Hello there! I am an extreme noobie in that I haven't even started yet, but I already have tons of questions. I am hoping some of you experienced models can help point me in the right direction.

So far I have been looking into signing up for either Streamate.com or Cams.com as a model. I need to pick a site that will both be easy to work on (as far as site navigation for me as a model AND the customer) and with a decent payout, and the least shady management

I know that Streamate.com is 35% (per an email I had to send them once I created my profile, this info was no where to be found on their model FAQ).

I am curious what the current payout is for Cams.com. I found some posts from like 2 years ago about this, but would like some recent info.

I've been on both sites, as well as camwithher.com, as a customer to see how their free chat/paid chat works. So far I really can't decide which I like the best. camwithher doesn't seem to have as much traffic as the others but seems to have a great community feel.

This is going to be a very part-time gig for me, I won't be able to sit in a free chat all day hoping and waiting for paying customers. Am I stupid to think that anything less will make me any profit?

Please feel free to give me any info that a noobie needs! I appreciate everyone's time.

hey lacy welcome to the forum, as far as i know and i have been working with Streamate for 4 years now, they pay only 30% of your earnings. for Cams.com you have to chose what porcentage u wanna earn, from 15% to 45% models whose earnings percentage is less than 30% get their listing highlighed in red on the Who's Online page. Both sites are awesome, cams.com has more cool features tho, so u dont just log on free chat and thats all like in streamate. hope this helps!

Thank you so much Flak! I am going to go with cams.com. I do like their features and the navigation of their site better, as well as the flexible percentages. I am excited and nervous! Hopefully I will be up and running in the next week or two

I notice that many web cam girls post that they are working on a number of sites at one time. I also notice that the sites seem to have some clause in their paperwork that say you can't work for more than their site at one time.

Can anyone clarify how they go about working for multiple sites without breaking the rules?

lacy, there is a site called myfreecams... the pay out is 50%, check it out. its in my sig. it is a good camsite. others i know of are naked.com, and flirt4free.com

Those are really bad % to be paying the models i think
Shouldn't they be getting at least 60% of the money they bring the site?

I wrote a tutorial entitled How do I become a cam girl? or something like that a couple months ago for new cam girls entering the business on my website if anyone is interested in checking it out but I can tell you right now I would go with Live Jasmin simply because they are the biggest in terms of members so with them even average looking girls get like 50 people in their chatroom within 1-2 minutes of logging on and if you are pretty you could easily have 100+ people in your room pretty much instantly as soon as you come on the site and every time you log on so thats a huge advantage over the other sites you mentioned.
