Ethnicity Issue

I have not ever brought this up on a site, but now I feel it's time that I should. I will speak very frank here.

Humans naturally are attracted to "their own kind", generally speaking. With that in mind, it's no surprise that most top earners on major webcam sites are white, because most of the clients are white.

If the majority of the guests on those sites were, say, Asian, then most of the top earners would be also, because probably most of the guests--or at least a very large portion of guests--would be Asian and would go to see Asian hosts. for the most part.

This is why I think there should be more sites for specific ethnic groups, giving those who are not American/European white a better chance at making more money. If such sites exist, I believe that most guests of that ethnicity would go there and spend lots of money on us, plus we would be more visible.

I am VERY sick and tired of seeing most--if not all--pay period after pay period of basically all white hosts making top earner money, winning most prizes, etc. There are many sexy, hot very good performers who are not white that should be and could be making just as much money--if not more--but it's this sociological issue that's a huge problem in our society that's a big issue for us non-whites. In general, our "own kind" sees the beauty in us where other ethnicities don't and don't appreciate.

I'm not saying this is the only problem non-whites have regarding making more money, but it IS a major problem.

Which brings me to ask:

Are there any sites on the Internet where they focus more on Asian, Hispanic, or Black hosts? The majority on those sites being hosts of those ethnicities?

Asian and Latina specific sites yes, but black I have not seen.

I'm afraid that while I generally agree with your concept ("people tend to be attracted to their own type") I think there are some other things happening here:

Asian and Latina are a fetish -- there are people of all ethnic groups who for their own personal reasons are particularly attracted to Asian or Latina women. It often is unrelated to the objective attractiveness of the person. I consider it more like a foot fetish or a long nipples fetish

In particular with Asian (I'm Asian myself) I know that the majority of my cam customers would be white, or at least appear to be.

Why this doesn't exist for black I don't know. What do the rich black guys spend their money on?

I agree with you. I'm black and I''m still a newbie...been doing this for 4 months now on Naked.com. I've found it 50/50. 50% of my clients are Black and the others are Caucasian with a few Asian occationally. I hope you don't get angry at me for expressing myself, but this need to be said, "We have got to do better!!!" And I'm sure you do, but many of us don't.

Although I would like to see a site catered to us, some of us black women must do damn better. Thanks for letting me get that out...finally! I've observed some of the Black girls in free chat on Naked.com and other sites and some of us don't dress up, we dont use make-up, or clean our rooms, or we play rap music too loud or even DONT do our hair....WTF....some of them look a hot ASS mess. Pls, don't get me wrong...not all women need to wear makeup, but if you have bad acne or bad skin or a nasty scar...cover it up just for the camera to look more desirable and attract more guys. We must not forget we are giving the guys a fantasy so let's play the role, ladies. Lorrie, I think you'll agree with me. I'm not trying to be cruel, but it's the truth.

I've had guys come into my chatroom talking how nasty other black girls look and how nasty their attitudes are. How do some of these chicks think they'll make a dollar looking a hot-ass mess?! I even observed one girl last Sunday night...talking on the phone and lookin at the camara...she kept typing hello, but no one would reply...duhhh you on the phone and discussing how mad you are at someone else....WTF...can we show a little professionalism for our business! One chick even CUSSED out 2 guys when the guy asked her to show him her ass and she replied, "Show me ur di*k, first"....again Lorrie...WTF. I can go on and on...but I'm not. Well.......just 1 more thing Lorrie....can you tell Black chicks to sign-on. I work at Naked.com and I haven't seen more than 15 African American girls signed on at one time and there are currently 756 Ebony models and I'm always checkn the site throughout the day since I started in March. I've noticed Naked.com would place Latin girls in the "Ebony" category when no or a few African-American girls are on.

OOOOOh Lorrie, I got 1 more...we need to update our pictures and take time to take a quality pic without baby monitors and unmade beds in the background--it makes the pics looks shabby. I add new pics about every 3 weeks...even if its 2 or 4 to keep a fresh image and I swear by Paint.Net (a free site) which allows you to upload ur pics and do photo enhancements...it has tutorials to help you do simple things to make ur pics go from Polaroid quality to GLAMOUR SHOTS for free!!! Im still learning, but I grasped the basics in 1 day and its SOOOOOO simple and quick to enhance ur pics. Check it out! Having fresh pics work for me since I have regulars requesting some of the new outfits in pvt. One regular always request the same black dress at least 3-4 times/week. There you have it, Lorrie.

Of course, Lorrie, I know this is a small %, but its happening too much and it doesn't help. I just always put forth my best effort in anything I do...even if it include doing PORN dammit....lol. However, I do get to benefit from this since I sign in regularly and make sure my makeup, wig, props, backdrops, outfits, accessories and lipgloss are POPPIN'! However, 1 day I would like 2 be one of the top earners.

I even noticed my numbers increased within the last month when I started wearing this new long curly blonde wig and the guys (bk and wh) love it EVEN WOMEN has given me compliments on the new hair color. So, Lorrie, if you do find a site for black women, pls let me know...I'm def interested.

Quite agree that we are selling a fantasy and need to act and dress the part. It's not just black ladies who fail in this, I see a plenty of very tatty Asians as well.

It doesn't cost much to tidy your room (at least the piece that can be seen) and buy a pretty bra and panties to wear even if you can't manage a fancy costume.

About being polite to the customers, even the rude-not-yet-customers, in fact maybe *particularly* the rude ones, that is true too and maybe a major point.

As the camgirl you have to be somewhat subservient, after all you *are* the service +provider+, so the customer is always right (at least as far as you are willing to go). Asian women have a reputation as being subservient (it's mostly fake to keep the men happy, but we fake it very well ). How is that with black women ?

I agree...dom would be a much better suitable environment for these ladies. At times, I have had men who would like for me to play the dom role...and I can pull it off very well --only because my boyf likes this role sometimes.

I'll weigh in here. I've only been camming about 6 months, and I'm African-American. I would say that 90% of my customers are White, at least the ones I see cam to cam. I am however a Domme so I am listed in the fetish section so sometimes I am the only one. I see few Black women in this catgory, but given that during college I worked a a Domme and am a BDSM lifestyler it was a natural fit for me. I do agree though that many of us could work on presentation. I often have vanilla guys come to my room because they are not finding what they want from Black girls in vanilla areas. I think we all have to raise our game in a more competitve market. because a customer will find what he wants.

I guess even if there is no separate site for black girls, customers can find you, because on most sites they can search different categories like Ebony, Asians, blondes, brunettes, matures etc.
You should be on sites where this kind of search is avanilable, I mean there is ebony category, and then if they want, they will find you.

Do you take part in affiliate /webmaster programs? I just started to concentrate on this business more. I wasnt even on cam in September. Although Im white and blonde, I lost many customers because I dont get naked and they dont understand why Im in a category like that . grrrrr. I wish I was more exibitionist!
I just discovered I feel more comfortable behind cam, than in front of cam, and this is why I concentrate on the affiliate programs more. I prefer to be the "pimp" in the background LOL .) This way for me it's the same where I get the money from, as a host or as a webmaster, the point is to make money. I don't want any triumph to be a topearner or famour host, I'm absolutely happy if i make money in the background too.
