Is getting paid timely a problem?

First post here. I am Zon Zon. I have various interests in the adult industry. Would be happy to answer questions on this board when I have an answer.

For today, however, it is me with the question!

I am in Colombia setting up a nice studio. I have heard from friends in the USA that getting paid from web sites is NOT a problem. Here in Colombia, however, I hear many, many stories about people who did not get paid, and subsequently could not pay models.

I am wondering what is the truth behind this?

The affiliate structure provides for a ton of middlemen. That is the business model.

What i am concerned about is do sites not pay in accordance with the terms and conditions? Are there standards practices of non or late payment?

Are the rules applied evenly to all web studios where ever they are from?

No, non-payment is not standard by site -- those that do go out of business very fast.

But maybe they pay me but not you? Who can say...

I am with the understanding that the time frame for payment are decreasing.

I just learned of a program that pays by epassport that sweeps payments to models once the balance exceeds 300 dollars? I believe that most of the major sites continue a twice a month billing cycle. (Please Confirm)

Up until now, I have not paid any attention to the sign up bonus offers ... what's the story on them?!?!? If I sign up 8 girls to they pay 8 sign up bonuses?

Lastly, I am starting to see that there are big sites (live jaz; video secretes; ImLive; etc.), then there are a ton of small chat sites that are linked together by smaller webmaster affiliate networks ... are there general differences between these two classes?

Anyways regarding your payment questions :
Most companies have a different business model and each one sticks to their own method of payments. I know some companies who only do check payments and wire payments and no Epassporte payments.

Some companies pay twice a month and some companies pay monthly.

There are others like us ( camspot) who pay weekly ( with just a 7 day hold ).....

So basically lets say : for period starting Thursday of the previous week and ending on the wednesday of this week. You get paid on the thursday of the following week.

Ofcourse we do have minimum payment limits. You can set it up yourself. Some people set it up as 100$ and some people set it up as 1000$ depending on the volume of earnings they have on their account.

Signup bonus offers are basically a promotional campaign run by some of the cam companies to attract new studios to their networks We ran one in october

Basically a one time bonus for adding new models to their network in return the members of that cam site get some new models who might interest them

I think it is not a problem does a site pay or not... i think most of the biggest sites do pay like they promise.
But there are some facts that are good to know, first is this minimum payment,
i know LiveJasmin has minimum payment 100$, so even if agreement say they
pay in 2 week periods, they dont send money if performer has earned less than 100.
And to earn this 100, performer has to get privates for about 300$ if performer % is 30
if performer set up price to most used 1,99 per minute, this means 150 minute
in private before payment will be sent.
I think average time for private is about 5 minutes, because there will be many short
privates and few 15 minute or longer privates, this means about
30 number of privates to get this payment limit done. For a good popular model
this will be easy, but for an average model... not that easy

Just remember these facts, and you dont need to worry about getting payid in time.

Here's a small but valuable piece of insight; bank fraud professionals report that on any credit card purchase made on the internet or elsewhere for services the customer has no more than 65 days to requests a chargeback. So banks professionals stated the following:"if the customer comes to us 3 months after a purchase and wants a refund or claims fraud on a credit card purchase we don't even consider that, because it is the customer's responsability to report and acknowledge any account activity within the agreement time frame of 65 days as specified on their credit card agreement."

Makes sense right? ..So the next time your webcam site exploits you with a chargeback that's over 65 days old be aware that this is not legally possible.


You can report to the FTC any fradulent business practices you witnesses or experienced while working with sexchat site. FTC does not resolves problems you have with a site, but it will collect information and investigate sites:
