Viruses, Bugs and Other Nasty Things at Adult Sites

Many websites, especially porn sites, can be plagued with viruses, bugs, hackers and other nasty things.

How much does this effect our personal computers when we hosts log in to go to work on these sites, or when guests visit adult sites??

Is anyone finding their PC working perfectly well until you get to a porn site, then your PC freezes up, have a sign come up saying This Page Cannot be Opened, or your PC crash due to viruses, and you do an anti-virus check to find all sorts of nasty bugs on your computer since logging into a porn site?

I have had that problem before. One time my pc crashed completely. Hence, I rarely go to X-rated sites.

If you take proper precautions this is very unlikely to happen. I work with adult sites daily (not just cam sites) and have never had a problem on any of my PCs.

Important steps are:

Keep your PC fully patched. For windows use http://update.microsoft.com

Have an anti-virus software loaded. I use http://www.free-av.com/ which is free

Also run an anti-spyware software. I use Spybot Search & Destroy http://www.safer-networking.org/ which also is free, the real time checking (TeaTimer) and the Immunizer are the most important parts.

And that's basically it. Every two weeks or so make sure everything is updated and you're fine.

Well you are one of the lucky ones to have perfectly running computers.

I have anti-virus, anti spy, etc. programs (even paid for ones), and have Windows updates and still have problems sometimes, and so does everyone I personally know and many online people (by the looks of the hundreds of people on PC issue websites.)
