I have worked on ALOT... and I mean AOT f sites... been doing this on and off for 3 years...
iFriends - unless you go free to pay... be prepared for a long boring day... but weeds out the freeloaders... BUT sometimes free to pay is good... show them they want u
CamContacts.... Bla, low traffic... PLUS girls are doing shows at 75 cents a minute... you wanna compete with that? lol Ill pass

I personaly have had it... lol I LOVE being a cam girl but its such a poular thing to do, too many girls per site... Back in teh day buzzcams was awesome but shut down long ago...
I like to go on my own now... ispq and other places like that...

OH BTW cybermate Do not go there... all I hear is girls never get paid including my self

lol yea i know
but the viewer can increase the size the host cant lol i hate no audio alerts so i miss so many shows there and this video size i like to see myself when i perform but need a magnifiying glass to see me there |

ImLive does have sound just that u dont take it from the site and do it yourself from the computer I use win xp dunno if its same in others but here its like this.
Control panel ~ sounds and audio devices~Sounds~ and there is a menu to pick from if u can find in program events list`question` and chose a sound for it, everytime a pop up question comes up it rings (the yes and no questions) just like imlive.So when a viewer comes in it rings and u can chose the bell:)Try it out and let me know if it works. Im not a good teacher but im sure u can find it:) |

| The ImLive window is painfully small. Even after increasing size it's still smaller than any other sites. I did complain. The frame rate is also painfully slow. As a customer, ImLive is the worst site I've come across. |

A couple of things to keep in mind:
Imlive camhosts work from (usually) their homes so the feeds will almost always be slower. You can check a camhosts profile to see if she has hi-speed and hi-quality video - there are 2 icons under her links.
Imlive camhosts are a lot cheaper than studio sites - like in life, you get what you pay for! With the happy hour it's as little as $1.49/min. which is a steal compared to $4.99 for some sites.
If the interaction isn't as important as the show, try pre-recorded videos which (unless I'm mistaken) are hosted on Imlive servers and stream faster.
As for the camhosts in this thread looking for more business you have to try self-promotion (if you haven't already). As anyone in the business knows the *top* hosts are on most sites listed first. So unless you are in the top few rows, etc. you are going to be twiddling your thumbs a lot.
What will work best is to bring traffic *directly* to your chat room or profile. Imlive allows this as do many others. If you want some help, just hit me up. I'm not looking to make a buck of anyone but I really don't mind giving a few promo links/tips to those trying to increase their income ... see sig below or my profile to contact me.
And no, I'm not talking about trolling Yahoo chat rooms, etc. That's just about as dull  |

You got that right!
I tried advertising via using a Yahoo free website and all the members who joined my site only wanted to see me for free. Some would even IM me wanting a show even though I constantly told them in my site that I work at ImLive and to please chat with me there. I eventually closed the site.
Also, Internet profiles (like Yahoo, AOL, etc.) do no good. Like the above, they just want to see a free performance, regardless of what you say in your profile. Some people are so obtuse.... 
I love telling people: 'Do you work for free?' Well, neither do I! People are either super cheapskates or they don't seem to comprehend that this IS a job--how we make a living! |

I understand framerate will vary from room to room. I just found ImLive to be slower than other sites in general. The tiny video screen is unnacceptable. Plus I've seen spamming done by ImLive on other sites. I'm not going back there.

In real life, some things are overrated and others are good deals. I've been a viewer for nearly 3 years, visited many sites and the old "You get what you pay for" doesn't hold. Ultimately, it's the chathost that makes for a good or bad experience but technically speaking, the best video I found so far is also the cheapest, much less than 1.49$ a minute. No other sites even come close for quality. Livebabes had something equal for a while but now, it's just another version of cumtv. |
