Am currently doing pretty well with my high-end webcam but am seriously considering investing in a decent camcorder - with remote control zoom.
I use a laptop and windows Vista home, if that makes any difference.
Any suggestions as to which would be a good camcorder to use would be HUGELY appreciated... there are so many out there and I don't know where to start. They don't really advertise the webcam performance when selling them! I realise a decent one is going to cost me but I really don't want to go over $1000.
Look forward to any responses... thanks in advance! |

Hi
I have a laptop and Windows Vista. When I bought my handy cam was using an old PC with Windows XP.
I use Sony HC35, I would not recommend it as I use it through USB and had to make a special adjustment to the tripod. Has an outside thing to put it on to connect it to PC through USB. Works without it for a TV tuner, but goes crazy sometimes, lol.
When you purchase the handy cam, even if its old and the driver is for XP, you can always take the updating driver from the internet to use it with Vista, as it will ask for serial from CD and handy cam.
Any handy cam works to broadcast with it. I mean as long as you can use it to get your records on computer, automatically works to broadcast live on the video chat web site too.
For a great quality I would recommend JVC. They have a good quality and most of the studios use JVC.
Hope my comment helps. |

I currently use a JVC-290 it comes with a remote control I have noticed over the years that it's great for broadcasting my website but not so hot on recording videos for my website.
So now I am looking to invest in an HD camera or a Harddrive camera.
If you see new model on the market now wait about 6 months and the price will drop or it will end up on ebay for even cheaper then retail.
Connecting your camera to your computer can be done in many ways one of the methods I use is a video capture device dazzle has great products that do that. |
