I'm a bit upset by ImLive. Before the minimum amount you have to load in your wallet was 50 US$, and the prices for vid was displayed in US$.
Now, the minimum amount is 50 Euros, and you buy credits...that mean the price for vid is xx credits per min...so basically, considering the change rate between US$ and Euros, it is an increase for Euros payer of 50%...
Considering they reduce the price they paid the camgirl...they will make a lot of money, not only on camgirls, but also on European customer.
Of course, I haven't see any clear notice of this change, or have been warned in any way.
I know several other sites makes you buy credits like that, without considering exchange rate, but I liked imlive because it wasn't the case, it allows you to spend proper time with the girls.I didn't feel in hurry, and was spending in fact all the 50$ everytime. Now, just make me think to unsubscribe of this site (which is a good things to consider and to get a real life Razz )

Have the same here. On Gold status, but now I get 50 (52,5) credits for 50 euro's. (plus 5 happy hour credit) I was wondering what the US customers are paying. Are they getting 50 credits for 50 dollars or do they get less credits for $50?
I know for a fact that the hosts are paid in dollars per credit. So this is a big profit for them (I'mlive) at the moment.
If the US customers are getting less credits for $50 it's still a fair option. But if not, ImLive is making a great deal of money here.
For the moment I stay away from them. Before they changed it from $ to credits it was a great deal for Europeans.

(done small edit to clarify)

my question to you would be, if you know this to be a fact, and don't agree with it why would you support them further by buying their services?....no one is benefiting but imlive......stop supporting them....not trying to be rude to you but rather would see this worked out in everyones favor.

has this been clarified, or better yet modified by imlive...what is the update...tia

Not clarified by them, and I don't deal with i'm live any more. Only thing I'm live had to say is that they wanted to make it more clear for local customers. Probably more to do with taxes and stuff as Cyprus was introduced to the Euro currency as of the beginning of 2008.

I haven't seen an increase of advertising, nor extra banners or stuff on different sites. So their statement to the performers that they want to increase traffic is absolute non-sense.
They seem to have a splash out of 100.000's credits this month. But only for their loyal customers.

Chargebacks - aka/exploitment of models. Here's a small but valuable piece of insight; bank fraud professionals report that on any credit card purchase made on the internet or elsewhere for services the customer has no more than 65 days to requests a chargeback. So banks professionals stated the following:"if the customer comes to us 3 months after a purchase and wants a refund or claims fraud on a credit card purchase we don't even consider that, because it is the customer's responsability to report and acknowledge any account activity within the agreement time frame of 65 days as specified on their credit card agreement."

Makes sense right? ..So the next time your webcam site exploits you with a chargeback that's over 65 days old be aware that this is not legally possible.

You can report to the FTC any fradulent business practices you witnesses or experienced while working with sexchat site. FTC does not resolves problems you have with a site, but it will collect information and investigate sites:

""Before You Submit a Complaint

The Federal Trade Commission, the nation's consumer protection agency, collects complaints about companies, business practices, identity theft, and episodes of violence in the media.

Why: Your complaints can help us detect patterns of wrong-doing, and lead to investigations and prosecutions. The FTC enters all complaints it receives into Consumer Sentinel, a secure online database that is used by thousands of civil and criminal law enforcement authorities worldwide."" [FTC, 2009]

It's your right..US IT.
