Can anyone tell me which Highspeed internet company they prefer. Cox Cable or DSL?
I realize this is mostly a question for chat hosts, however; anyone who has either company (Cox Cable or DSL), your response would be appreciated.
Right now I have Cox Cable Highspeed Internet, and in my area there have been several snow/ice storms that have caused my Cable to go out, which includes my phone, my cable tv, and of course my internet!
SBC/AT&T of course offers home phone, fiberoptic cable (which is just like cox cable television, no dish) and DSL Internet. As you can tell, I prefer to do the bundle package as it saves me money.
So, anyone with personal experience with DSL or Cox Cable Highspeed Internet or Cam hosts that use either, please let me know. These are the only 2 Highspeed Internet companies available in my area. Thank you!!! |

Well, the important thing to consider on internet connections when it comes down to camming is the upload speed of the connection.
Every internet connection has two speeds: download and upload. ISP's usually advertise the download speeds but those don't matter for this job since you need a high speed upload connection to provide a good video quality, but not only that, the connection also has to be as reliable as possible.
I suggest you to talk with your ISP, be it Cox or AT&T and ask what are the upload speeds they offer.
And to really answer your question, I'd get AT&T, if they offer fiber optics internet, get that. |
