I have a page on youtube, myspace, hi5, facebook, and a few other sites I can't remember but as for using them for business not really worth it I get more headaches then sales from them
I have seen on other webmaster boards that the porntube sites are killing the business, but I wonder about that those sites have to steal from the sites to get them and if the site is not producing the content those tubes site will go under. |

I know some hosts who will advertise anywhere. They'd advertise on Jim-Bob's Porno Site!
If the site isn't a household name mentioned on the front page of major newspapers from time-to-time, mentioned on TV, mentioned in films, talked about by celebrities, etc., a multi-billion dollar site, then yeah it's more trouble/time wasting than it's worth.
To be really successful in this business, one must be a savvy business person in knowing how to market well. Very few people are good at that part of the business. |

I don't know that I'd agree with that 100%. There are a couple of sites that are definitely not household names that still get me lots of good leads. I have a rude profile, for instance (www.rude.com/violetsin), and being in a targetted adult community definitely brings me quality traffic.
There are a few I use: camgurlspace, thephonesexspace, adultspace, youporn, nicheflixx, etc.
I only use a few mainstream ones: vox, twitter, youtube, break.com.... I'm sure that there are more that slip my mind at the moment. |
