Hi all,
Just wondering if everyone is suffering a slow down at their sites ? or is this just a seasonal adjustment ha2!
Seems members are not spending and many are closing their accounts !
Earnings on the sites I know have fallen so much it's almost not worth the time to be there!
Whats the new direction I wonder are we all missing somthing ?
(I'm looking ) |

I am active in two sites and business is very slow in both. I think the slow down is due to setting priorities. When people hear about the price of oil reaching $100 / barrel, taxes increasing, job cuts, down sizing, and such, people get nervous. We are in difficult times and I think that commercial cybersex is feeling the brunt of this worsening economy. However, at the same time, I do not believe that virtual, real time sexuality is an option. People are not going out to pick up STDs or engage in unsafe practices. Its a dangerous world.
I believe that things will be ok soon, but in the mean time we have to stay availabilty and ready. Human sexuality is a basic need. We just have to ride it out for a while. |

| Spending on cam sex is a luxury -- but luxury goods still do ok in bad times with the economy. I think you'll find the high end sites like Flirt4Free that attract the big spenders (CEO types) will survive better than the cheaper sites who may have customers who are regular Joe's who need to pay the bills. |

Hony is right.
Also, for every person I hear saying the adult webcam business is slowing down, dying out, etc. I hear another saying they made more money then ever this past pay period. I'm doing extremely well myself.
It's just a matter of how one markets oneself to attract customers. |

it really depends on the sites what they are doing to gain traffic/customers/members whatever the term is .
but consistently is the key to staying busy and making money. even though a site might be slow right now is the Christmas time for some reason the biggest money making time for myself is Christmas and if i build up new viewers really well in this time they will last me through the winter. |

Yep. The holiday season always brought in much traffic for me too.
People in general tend to make all kinds of excuses for traffic being slow--blaming everything except themselves. Some people say, for instance, it's because sports is on TV, so that's why it's slow. WTF?! LOL! Sports is ALWAYS on TV, especially since cable/satellite TV exists.
As long as a host is working at any well-known and popular website, I would say something else accounts for about 5 percent of any slow traffic. The rest--95 percent--is the responsibility of the host. |
