Hi I've done low card a few times. Yes it does work and it works fast if you restrict your diet to almost NO carbs. Alot of people say this diet is bad because you are only eating fattening meats, or other things like mayonnaise and oils, and you don't eat alot of vegetables and fruit. You can still be healthy and do low-card. Eat all the fruits and vegetables you want because those are complex carbs and they are good for you. Stay away from lots of breads and simple sugars.
It is true that if you do low carb and then go back to regular eating habits with carbs, then you will gain the weight back and probably even a little more. If you want to keep the weight off you will have to maintain a relatively low-carb diet. Once you get to the weight you want to be, then slowly start adding a little carbs to your diet at a time. When you notice that your weight stays the same, that's the amount of carbs you can safely have without gaining.
Hope this helps, and good luck |

My doctor put me on a low carb diet to control my blood sugar. The only difference in my diet from the previous post was that I didn't/couldn't eat fruit. Plus, not all vegetables were "allowed."
It is a sure fire way to lose weight, but it is hard to stick to after a while.
And, as the previous post mentioned, people think it's so bad for you but it's not like you are eating 5 pounds of bacon a day (which is how some people imagine the diet).
Hope this helps! |

Well I began a diet in the end of 2006, and lost like 30kgs in 6 months. What worked out for me was combining low carb foods with good meat and salads. Daily atleat 2x30 minutes work out.
You should eat daily 4x-6x times, try to manage all courses to occur in given hour of a day, drink atleast 3liters of mineral water (this was the hardest for me, is usualy drink a liter a day). You should run atleast 20 minutes a day, but if you hate running you can do an intense walking instead, the aim is to keep your pulse up for a time period or do cardio training . What worked most for me when I was really fat to do fast walking, and when I could, I bought a bicycle, and go to work and places with it, it's fun . You should do an additional workout like 2x times a week, light budy building to avoid muscle loss.
Food:
I swear on brown rice and chicken breast and salads + chicken breast. But most importantly chicken breast rulles . It has almost no fat, it's pure protein and you can prepare it on very different ways.
For breakfast I used to do fruit salads, or oatflakes + low fat yoghurts, but my most favorite was apple turmix, 1 cup 0% yoghurt, 2 smaller apples, 1 cup soy milk, and a hint of cinamon, and mix it down, it's delicios, healthy, good for breakfast and it will fill up your stomache. For dinner salads wih light dressing (0% yoghurt with seasoning). But I have like tons of recepies laying a notepad, if I have time and there is demand i will translate it.
Your worst enemy would be whit weat and simple fats.
I am thinking on doing it again, there was christmas and newyear and some and I again grow an ass.
Good luck to all. |
