Hi there everybody,
Could a fellow iFriends chathost PLEASE help me with this? Currently, as you know, ifriends has it set up so that Elite Pics are automatically taken every 2 minutes during pay session. We can disable this feature, YET THE PICS CONTINUE TO BE TAKEN are are just building up by the thousands on their servers!!! It scares me to think where these pics are going to end up.....could somebody please help me figure out a way to PREVENT them from being taken in the first place? THANK YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!

Hi dabomb! Welcome to the forum. I moved this post into the chathost section.
I didn't know about this feature (not been to iFriends in a while) -- it is a general problem I think with ifriends that they collect EVERYTHING and can use it any way they feel like. I know they have lots of my pics I would rather they didn't any more but there is no control to get them deleted!

Thank you Hony! I just found this website yesterday. I am SO glad to have an alternative to the lame, Big Brother ifriends discussion boards! Yeah, so this new "Elite Live Moments thing" is REALLY fucked up. They told us about it Jan. 1st 2004, but they ACTUALLY STARTED TAKING THE PICS AT THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER!  Talk about sneaky and unethical, not to mention probably illegal. I am going to discuss this with a friend of mine who is an attorney. I have tried to solve this in a civil manner with ifriends. And if I can't somehow get my firewall to block the Elite Moments from being taken, I am going to look into pursueing this legally. The other evening, EVERYBODY'S Elite Moments, even chathosts that had "disabled" this feature, were VIEWABLE TO ANYBODY THAT JOINED THE STUPID FANCLUB. This is a HUGE technical error on Ifriends' part, and I think that they should pay for their huge mistakes, especially when they are doing unethical things like snapping pictures of us every two mintues against our will!
Why can they do anything they want with our content? That is so messed up. If I quit today, how long will it take for my pictures not to show up in the system anymore? I mean, I imagine that after a certain amount of time, they will have a new contract to sign, or a new age verification session, and if I don't do those, my content will not be shown....right?
Anything anybody has to say about this stuff, especially the legal aspect of things, I'd be so grateful.

I can't say that I blame you! I would like to get my own site going, like a membership site, with webcam stuff, too. As soon as I get that up, then I'm so through with Ifriends. They are pushing things TOO FAR. It's like chathosts don't have any control anymore. What other reasons did you have for leaving Ifriends? |

Bzzz, Wrong! My account there was killed ages ago but all my stuff is still up, and now my account is killed I can't even get in to disable stuff or delete thinigs in their free hosting.
