I don't know if it's because I'm PMSing but I just have to vent for a second here. Aggghhhhh!! The free chatters are really getting on my last nerve today. Usually I just take deep breaths when I start to get irritated but today I'm just speaking my mind and probably coming across as real bitchy. I mean these freeloaders come in and say show tits, bend over, show ass. etc. Now this is not uncommon bcuz they do it everyday but it's like the same people are camping in my room. even when I sign off for my breaks they are still there when i come back. And then I'm getting real irritated with the same people asking where I'm from. HELLOO.. I guess the guys never read your profile because all my info is on there. Even the guys that have money are still just dickin around in free chat for no reason. After I come back from break they'll just sit there in free chat and never come to pvt. Pisses me off.! Today is definitely not my day! And I REALLY need the money because I'm moving. In a perfect world, there would be no free chat on ANY site so the customers would have no choice. I had an idea. If a customer wants to see what you look like before buying, why can't the chathosts just do a new 30-second clip every time they log on so the guy knows that the clip is in real time and not from like 6 months ago or something. You know when the chat hosts log into their acct. then we just make a new clip before going to our chat room. Customers get to see what u look like, your cam quality, and what you're wearing for that day and everybodys happy. No free chat for us and no unpleasant surprises for them. I'm all for free text chat but cam in free chat is the WORST invention ever. Whoever decided to start that trend needs to be shot . I HATE IT>!!! I'm seriously thinking about going back to ImLive and see if I get some good traffic again. Don't know how much longer I can deal. Does anyone know any other site that doesn't have cam in free chat, like similar to Imlive?

Hi Black,
Believe me, I understand completely! The free chatters are rather annoying. I understand the concept that they are potential customers, but DANG they are so annoying. I have been harrassed, heckled, and so forth. I cant stands no more!! 
So, that is why I primarily do PSO's nowadays. Black, I hope you will revisit ImLive, as I mentioned in an earlier thread, Imlive is much improved. All of their hard work in promoting the site really paid off. Traffic is better. PLUS, YOU DONT HAVE TO BE BOTHERED WITH THE FREE CHATTERS ON CAM!! I am glad that ImLive has given us the option for that. As a form of "charity", I will ocassionally enter the free chat, but its not too often. ImLive even makes that nice because they limit them for 2 minutes.
Think about becoming a PSO in addition to being a videochat host.
By the way, I do phone sex with cam. I love the visual experience. |

That would be great MsM except that I hate phone too!!! I hate everything today lol.. No but seriously, I really don't prefer phone in my cam shows. But maybe that's just because I don't have a headset like you do. I might invest in one of those and see how I like it. It's so awkward when you have to have your a** up in the air and still hold on to the phone.  Or I can do like you say and just be PSO. I'm already on Niteflirt so I'll give it a try.

Oh btw how is the traffic now at ImLive. I got so pissed off with them and resigned in theheat of the moment. My friend still has her acct. with them and her traffic continued to go downhill. But she too hasn't be on there in months so I might give it another shot. But I think they're pissed at me there because I always ran my big mouth in the forums. The last time I spoke my mind they froze my acct. LOL. Me and my mouth got me in alot of trouble.
Anyway did the traffic get better. When I say better I mean that I atleast need 15/hr. And that's not great traffic to me but it's worth me keeping my acct there. |

You gotta get a headset to do phone sex. Those hands got to be free...LOL! Try the Plantronix if you can... available from Amazon.
ImLive have really become creative with their platform... free video chat (which we do not like... but we know it may be necessary) peep shows, 2 videochat hosts togehter, video competitions. It should not take you long to re-build up your base again.
I believe that its a reality that cybersex / internet sex is a viable option for sexuality. Women realize that a cam, personality and the right act, they can make money without working in a live strip club. So, its competitive. Very competitive these days. Perhaps a couple of years ago, it may have been easy to pull in 15-20 sessions/hour. Today, no one wants to face the threat of STDs, many people have computers and laptops so, they can bust a nut easily in the privacy of their own home. With that equation, today it is very competitive and it may not be that easy to pull in 15-20 sessions/hour. I suspect this is why ImLive had to go to those Internet conference and get those webmasters and integrate new tools to help them be more competitive.
I think that every smart woman will stop doing free cam shows, because the risk of minors viewing them is dangerously high. Yahoo, MSN, and AOL are no longer tolerant of adult venues. Therefore, more and more women are going commercial to broadcast through organized sites to ensure adult viewers.
Black, when you first started at ImLive, it may have been easy to get 15/hr a couple of years ago, but things are changing fast now. ImLive and NiteFlirt have excellent forums where hosts feel free to vent about traffic. I suspect in 2007, many are complaining of low traffic. Its just competitive.
By the way, we are now entering Major League Baseball season. Talk about competition!! |

| I didn't mean 15-20 sessions in one hour. I meant $15/hr at least. Sorry I didn't clarify. I don't care if I get 1 show or 10 small ones just so long as it equals atleast $15. I think that's more than reasonable considering a good day would be triple that. |

Hmmm... I do daily statistical totals. I kind of like to see the bottom line at the end of the day. I dont know if anything special is going on now like MLB, big time world events... so now would be a good time anywhere to see how much could be captured be it hourly or daily.
As a matter of fact, I have always kept daily stats vs. hourly stats. But hourly sessions sound interesting. |

just like the big conglamorates have downsized, and sent labor south of the border, for cheaper labor....cam business is similar in the direction it has taken...
whether you want to admit it or not, besides there being a glut of hosts, consumer has also become wiser.....many hosts don't know what the art of seduction is....many have never been trained, and many foreign hosts are told wiggle and stand twist, and turn, and told they must do it....you see them in free bending over, lifting legs, and toys galore...one in 20 guys may take them private for 1 minute...just enough to explode...they are happy smiley, and the lurkers, and those who park in your free chat are even happier, as they go from room to room demading, and they do get satisfaction....
there you have it cheap labor, no quality, slip slap, wam bam thank you mam...the cheap labor places can afford to live on $5.00@hr....you can't the cost of living has gone up, your earnings have not...free rides are over...and slave labor is flourishing...
who trained these men to demand and receive what they are getting?....the women, if there was no supply there would be no demand....surely you went to a bar in your time and talked to some stud, trying to get a dinner date, when next you know a trollop passes by half naked, and woops his attention on you is gone....no different on cam...hosts go and get a plan and introduce phone, and all for the same old rate....its a buyers paradise.....take a host who speaks no english, what can she do but twirl, as her boss instructed her...its reality, and where is all our labor going, and jobs that are being sourced? this is no different.. |

Yes Spider I know what you mean about the girls that do "everything but" in free chat, and I have never been one of those girls. I get sh*t from the freeloaders because I won't do anything in free chat. If a spender has money and they ask to see my ass (my cam is usually waist up) I do comply most of the time. But as for the freeloaders forget it. I've been speaking my mind to them lately. They make me want to kick the sh*t out of em sometimes I swear. So disrespectful. But you already knew that.
Anyway I don't however agree about the rest. I have the advantage on the cam sites that I work in that I'm American and the guys LOVE that you are not a foreigner. It's like a breath of fresh air for them.I get asked atleast 50 times a day where I'm from and when I say I'm from Calif they are always glad. The customers who have money to spend don't mind paying a little more for better quality. I'm not trying to say I'm better than any other host out there but the guys do prefer to be able to converse with a girl who's first language is English. I never lower my standards as far as my cam shows go so I don't feel that I should have to lower my price. I make decent money doing webcam (way more than $5/hr) and that's because I get the guys that know the old saying is true. "You get what you pay for." The problem that I was talking about in the posts above was with ImLive when they had introduced a new feature that I thought was a HORRIBLE idea. At that time, everybodys traffic had gone down. Now I'm willing to concede that things may have changed for the better over there, but the whole point is...all evil things stem from free live chat.....LOL. |

oh no.. blacksex.....please do not take my vent as a personal offense towards you...i was speaking in general terms so to speak, not downgrading but more or less reinforcing your vent.....i guess what i was trying to say, is everyone is on here to make the almighty $ primarily speaking....i figured out if that is not what one is on here for, then why just not do the local chatlines, you know for fun, and shake your stuff there.....the demand in freebies sometimes exhausting, and can really mess up your day/night hosting, at is is becoming obsessive, rude demand....there is only so much you can say to the freeloaders who have 5+ browsers open, and getting their fix in free.....a tease and a full blown show is 2 different things...
many sites are specific in their disclaimers, no nudity in free, or your account will be terminated, yet it is not enforced....and you have minors in there....i hear what you are saying, but try and explain that to the community and some of these people will stare at you mouth agape, huh....don't tell me how to do my shows, ok i know what makes me money....i'm all in agreement, but rather than standing on your head spread eagle for 5 minutes in free and get a one minute private, would it not be better to stand on your head spread eagle 5 minutes in private instead and get paid.?
the community is populating and saturating the search engines with free, and more free clips, and pictures, as opposed to working on populating the room with quality traffic.....working against the wind....and listen everyone loves the word free...and everyone likes to receive something free, but there is a glut of free, and distinct flavor is phazed out....

| On my! Girls, it can't possibly be only me that is having the same thing Blacksex is talking about day in and day out for over a month. I make decent, but not great income lately. Even my "following" is not getting shows much lately. HELP !!!! |
