Thanks, I need to update that. I find it hard to keep track of all the multiple names of some of these sites, it is confusing and annoying.

As well as the sites which are simply multiple fronts to the same thing there are also the stream providers who are feeding lots of pay sites.

People like streamray and peekshows are in that category -- you go all sorts of web sites and find the cams that supposedly belong to that site are just feeds from these providers!

I'll try to breakdown how livebabes works. Our cam site is owned by Ray Guhn Productions. We only have one cam site. All our other sites are cumonherface.com, hotrikki.com, bustytramps.com, and lesbianhangout.com.

For our cam site we are using a software that will allow us to share our models with other cam sites. With a "shared" model base, you can almost guarantee there will be someone on your site at all times besides your own models. Each individual cam site has their "own models", that they pay and manage themselves. Plus, they have their own customer base.

Models are also more likely to make money because of their shared exposure between websites.

Previously with 2much, you had the option to share your model or keep her private to only your website. It was up to the owner of that particular website as if he/she wanted to share that model or keep him/her exclusive.

Right now livebabes.tv has switched over to AnywayCam. This software is designed to allow cam sites to share models with one another. You don't have an option at this time to keep models private but we personally would prefer to share our models on other websites so they are reaching more viewers and will have a wider customer base outside of our own particular website. We make a small profit from the other website if a performer is being viewed on their site, but our models always get paid the same amount whether viewed on our site or another shared cam site.

I've seen this with other sites - ladies working on LiveJasmin and CamGirlsLive, for example but the sites are not "connected".

One way to tell if a site is sharing a backend/studio, etc. is if the performers are using different names. For example, cumtv and CamGirlsLive are virtually the same - backend, performers, etc. But if you see a lady live on CamGirls and at the same time on LiveJasmin she may be using a different name .. and of course, all the other hosts are different.

Yes, it's confusing but I just write to the sponsor/affiliate manager and they usually straighten everything out.

Slightly off topic, what is really annoying - esp. if you're a customer and you are lured into joining a site only to find it's a portal to others. In other words, the site you joined doesn't really even exist - once in the members area you are given affiliate-coded links to other cam sites. grrr

(I won't mention names but for any customers out there be warned, always do a search on Google, etc. before joining a site ... if you don't see a Hony review (or any other sites) discussing it that's a clue)
