Hi
Can someone please suggest a good camcorder that actually works with win xp in multiple applications? I recently bought a sony trv-22 (it didn't work), and now a panasonic pv-gs13 (it doesn't work in yahoo or webcam 32 or with camsplitter). Does anyone operate a camcorder with camsplitter and have it work?
Also, if u plug in your camcorder using firewire does it work in most site's software like sexyvu's or tricams etc...?
How do u plug a camcorder into a a video capture card?
Thanks for any help u can offer,
Jenn. |

What do you mean it didn't work? You couldn't connect it to your PC, or you could but the software didn't see it?
Firewire or a capture card?

USB probably needs some drivers. Can you find it in your Control Panel?

Yes the camera is listed. It works in the tricams software and windows media encorder. But in yahoo, webcam 32 and camsplitter the screen stays black. Are there camcorders that work in camsplitter?
And how do u plug into a videocard, a techie told me it is for output only?
Thanks soooo much. |

Get any Camcorder which has an S Video socket. Then go to www.viewcast.com and order an Osprey 50 video card (about 100$). This solves all the Camcorder vs. PC problems and gives you a Studio quality broadcast. It works.
