Hello Jason,
Read your post. Here are some ideas for you.
I own and operate an adult live chat site, icu2cams.com.
To get your own site be prepared to spend lots of money to purchase traffic for enough customers to keep your performers busy or they will move on. It's a real headache, I know. This is the most difficult aspect of running your own site and you will spend lots of money finding your traffic sources. Also be prepared to spend upwards of $15,000 for decent chat software and that does not usually cover the site design.
You may want to think about just setting up your own studios and hook up with one or two good sites to display your models on. They will deliver the customers and deal with site management, marketing, etc. If you are successful with running the studios then you may want to decide to get your own site.
You can expect to earn 50% of the gross profit as a studio. You will pay your performers out of this 50%.
Be sure to purchase quality equipment, pentium 4, 2.0 certified cams, 512 megs of ram as a minimum. Most sites such as mine require a seperate IP address per computer and a fast broadband connection. Be sure you aquire at least 128K/ps (kilo bits per second) per computer in upload speed from your provider. You will be able to get several IP addresses free of charge from your provider.
Also understand that you are primaly liable for the content your studio produces. If you violate Section 2257 it is no joke and if you don't abide by the law they are serious as a heart attack. People do go to jail for violations.
Anyway, these are a few ideas for you. If you have questions you may ask me. I'm a giver and will try to give you some good advise.

I do that for some people . but only if you were in Toronto.
It's very easy to set up the studio , with the computers, lights, cameras, and depending on if your running your own site, or being a studio for an existing site its very easy to install the platform most of the sites out there give you no software to install.
Some sites on the web have a guideline of how to set up your studios. and to set up multiple computers just takes buying a router. those go for 30 to 120$ depending on which one and brand you want.
http://webmodelwork.com
you can search on the board for lighting and studio set up as well.
Like you could hire someone to do the work or take a day and figure it out yourself and save yourself couple hundred of dollars.
When I get messages like that for studio set up I change $1,500 because its a thinkless job. |
