Specific character of German sites?

Hi, I am new at this forum, i am setting up a webcam site now.
I have a nation-oriented question.
Having looked through a lot of competition sites, I have an impression that German webcam sites are different from other, non-German ones. Seems like there are less restrictions, concerning models behavior etc.
Anybody else noticed that?
Somebody from Germany or just competent, please explain, is it due to less strict German laws, or tradition, or is it just my illusion?

hey Balt,

I come from germany and work on german camsites and on international ones. I dont know what you mean spezifically with less restrictions for models. I think the german laws are different, the obscenity-rules I found on international sites didnt exsist in germany, so things like (not extrem) bondage, ns, kv arent forbidden in germany.

on the other hand german sites have much stricter rules, look at the pictures you can see without age-verification- system, e.g. it is not allowed to show much more than breasts. I know a lot of man which look at international sites (also for pictures or videos), because they can see much more there.

german sites have strict incest-rules (nicks like "mother and doughter" are forbidden), strictly forbidden is also sex with animals ( if you are a german chathost and have a dog or a cat you must be sure that these animals cant be seen in your room). it is also forbidden to show pictures with cuddly toys. and of course sex with children is strictly forbidden. and other things like violence and so on.

I have seen much pictures and videos (legal ones) in usa which would be never allowed in germany.

So I think the rules are only a lit bit different in some cases, but not less restrictions on german sites.

The other thing are the rules which depend on the site-owners. german sites dont have "free stuff", so no one can tell you what you have to show (or not to show) in free-chats. I know that some usa-sites dont allow performers to work on other sites at the same time and so on, in this cases german sites have less restrictions.

The age-verification for custumers is very strictly in germany.

So if you see all things I think you have more and stricter rules in germany.

Thanks Martina for that fact-filled post! It's amazing isn't it how different countries have such different rules and standards.

Yet here we are in the internet and we can use a site in any country so it all gets a bit fuzzy.

Who's laws apply to what?! Nobody knows, including the lawyers and the governments.

Why I was asking: now I am starting up a webcam site and am wondering, where to incorporate the company, in US or in Germany, and if it matters at all. Judging by what you saying, it does.
Anybody experienced (chathosts maybe): your opinion? that models can demonstrate bondage and stuff - is it a substantial advantage to shows? Considering that as Martina says, all in all "you have more and stricter rules in germany".
What other points I am missing?

hey mojo,

if you need more information about the laws in germany and the rules on camsites you should perhaps ask in german boards. I ve seen you can read german language (and of course the most german people speak english). a big board for webmaster is www.jaginforum.de and a big board for chathosts is www.senderforum24.de
