I am looking to run 4 computers with virtual ip addresses through a server which will hold a real ip address.
Can anyone tell me if this cause a problem working on the sites? Does each pc need a real ip address

Hi,
As long as you are behind a router - its not a problem. At least on some of the top sites we work with. You studio would have one outgoing IP, while the computers connected to the router will have their own inner IPs (192.168.0.101, 192.168.0.155 etc.)

Yup this is doable...
yup, routers would do th job, but kae sure it has a NAT(Network Adress Translation) service. Also setting up a server would work, you also need to setup a NAT server her... But I suggest you use routers w/ NAT wich bare currently verr available in the market |

It all depends on the website you are working on, some cam sites require an actual "Real" address or static IP per computer (so you have no choice withthese websites), most do not though so running a typical router (Belkin, Linksys.. etc) using DHCP (meaning the Ip address will be from your router, that it generates, to put it simply)
Setup your One static Ip in the router, setup each computer to DHCP in Network Connection/properties to obtain Ip address automatically. Reboot and the computer will find the Ip address.
