Greetings,
We live in pennsylvania and we want soooo badly to be give cam shows. I don't want to fall into legal trouble with a full bondage anything goes show, any place i can look to read up on a place to host our site, legal issues, and all the rest?
She just told me an hour ago that she is up for it and I'm still picking my jaw up off the floor!! I guess I have hinted time and time and time again that it would be great fun.

Welcome! Glad you've decided to give webcam hosting a try, it can be a lot of fun as well as profitable (at least in experince if not in $!). 
As for legal advice though; really have to say don't believe anything you read on the web, let alone messages posted in the forums! Ask a lawyer if you're going to do heavy stuff.
Suggest you just start with the light stuff, tease and such -- that's just as much fun and I presume (not being a lawyer) that is legal most places...

we have decided after reading your reply that less IS more.
There is (in my oppinion) a true art in seduction, and we are looking forward to our first show.
We have not yet purchased a cam yet and I have no clue what to look for, any suggestions?
would you think that the iFriends network would be a good start? I have visited there and my better half is so turned on by the idea of taking on requests by viewers. I guess i would say that I have to read up on more info but if you have any links that you feel would help I would be forever thankful.

For cams, you really should invest a little more in a decent cam. One that works well in indoor light. Most experienced cam girls will use a real digital video camera (e.g. a Sony Handycam) connected to a video capture board in the PC. This is much more expensive than the little webcams but the pictures are loads clearer. If you are going to use the small ones to get started then Logitec make good ones. Remember you will need plenty of light for this. You probably want to do it on the bed so she is comfortable. Do you have plenty of sexy toys too? That helps.
iFriends is certainly a good place to start. Signup here http://www.ifriends.net/expref.htm, and give my chat host name "honytsoi" as your "Referred by"!
Once you have got some experience you will probably want to join up with some others too. Read the directory http://www.adult-webcam-faq.com/directory.html and try some of the sites out.

It is alot to take in, but we are in it for the long run.
Toys? yes we have loads of them.
Do you know of a site that hosts asian women in general? I guess I am looking for a way to pin point our viewers to her race. she is a beautiful bi-sexual Korean woman and if that is what people are looking for, well we want to give them what they want.
I am into web design (basic and advanced HTML), installing CGI scripts ect.. what are the chances of creating our own site vs a cam host site. I know that the chances of more viewers would be greater at a host site but would the profit margine be better with our own site? I'm not to sure w/ bandwidth ect...

The only specifically asian one I know is goa, see http://www.adult-webcam-faq.com/directory/goa.html. I don't think it is really right for what you want though.
Asian is popular in the US so I think any site will provide asian fans, I know I get plenty. THere is always somewhere for you to specify your ethnic type so people can search for what they like. Is she shaved? Its sort of expected now particularly for asians; "hairy" (e.g. natural) is considered a fetish!
As for setting up your own site; yes the raw profit would be larger (you get 100%) compared to hosting sites where you get 50%. The question is how much is it worth to you to write all that code, pay hosting charges, to deal with credit cards, and charge-backs?
Obviously people do make it work. These are the private cam girls sites such as http://www.adult-webcam-faq.com/private_camgirls.htm.
You can avoid writing your own code by purchaing a package, but they are expensive, in the tens of thousands of US$ range. I did find one a few months ago (http://www.adult-webcam-faq.com/archived_news/5_january_2003.htm), and there are others but I have no first hand experience of them.
Do let me know what you decide! As I said, I think testing the waters with an iFriends account is a good way to start but there are other ways too I'm sure.

Yes you are right...purchasing the software does run into the $1000's and sometimes the $10 000's. The software my site works on is called Firecracker. Fairly solid technology...hehe but like you said...web hosting, bandwidth and chargebacks....ick even setting up a merchant account is horrid!

Interested to hear you are using firecracker, that seems to be getting popular. But I understand it is the technology only?
I recall there is another product which is more like a service provider, they can also handle the billing for you.
Will have to look it up and post the name.

Yes the site I am using does use Firecracker. Although it does not include set ups of merchant accounts, the owners are known to assist people in getting their merchant accounts. Great bunch of people at firecraker let me tell you!
