Hi,
A friend use a DV cam with firewire card. She first started to use orange software, but the PC crash regulary with blue screen. The error is related to the orange dll.
Then she tried trackecam. The issue with trackercam is cpu usage. She start the application, cpu is ok. Then if she open yahoo and her webcam, cpu got busy at 70-80%...the PC is then too slow for her to use internet properly.
She has a AMD XP 1.2 GHz, 512 Mb of RAM (and there is ram free when applciation is running) and running windows XP.
I haven't found any related problems.
Someone already got that problem ? Any ideas or suggestion ?
Thanks

I think it's because she is using the digital zoom?. Does the cpu usage go back to normal when you change the zoom back to 100% in the TrackerCam Software?. I would avoid using digital zoom and just use Optical Zoom.
If all else fail's you can always contact them directly http://www.trackercam.com/TCamWeb/contact.htm they are pretty good at support. |

Thanks for the answer. Don't think she is using digital zoom, but I will check.
And we contacted already their support, but never got a reply, nothing at all |
