How do I do what Jugger suggested?

I found this in another post on this forum...
"But either way in your profile place your link to your site in a TXT link. Dont just type your sites name as http. IE look under my post here you will see the text jolly cams but the link is really the http. Anyway what that does is every time you post on any board a spider will crawl that site and pull your sites name in it. "

I know how to creat a htref in a WUSIWUG program like Dreamweaver, but how do I do it in a forum post like this?
