Is the cam world getting boring?

I wanted to bring this subject "back to life" because I think about the topic often.

I strongly believe that webcamming has just begun to get popular. Remember, if the "real world--aka mainstream world--has not really heard about us then adult webcamming must be still in it's infant stage. After-all the INTERNET itself is still fairly new to the world. Baby boomers didn't grow up with it.

Take for instance other adult entertainment:

Stripping/Exotic Dancers. Look how long it took for that to get really popular. There wasn't even (not to my knowledge anyway) a major film devoted to it until Demi Moore's Striptease came out.

Phone Sex Operators. Most of the mainstream world do know about this now. Regarding popularizing it in the film world, Spike Lee made a film about it a while back called Girl 6 (great film BTW)

We still don't have our mainstream Hollywood film about us yet!

I look at TV documentaries, websites, encyclopedias online about the adult industry. Checking out the definitions of many, when it came to adult webcam models, either the definition is a sentence or two, or it's non-existent.

It's easy for us to think that adult webcamming has been around for ages, and now people are maybe getting tired of it because we've known about it since it began--quite the contrary! Adult webcam is STILL in its baby stage!

I can think of several futuristic ideas on how to expand on this industry of webcamming...and if I'm thinking of future ways, I KNOW there must be big-time entrepreneurs who are thinking of the same ideas--or better and working on ways to invest and make it a reality.

I talk to people on the street, people who are very worldly and I am the first person they have ever known that is an adult webcam girl. They haven't even heard of such a job before. Sure they know about getting a webcam and getting naked, but just for fun. They didn't know a person can actually make money from it and there are actual websites to work on. They certainly didn't know one can make a career out of it. Even my clients didn't know that!

This adult webcam thing may not peak until generations to come--as the Internet/webcam technology becomes more sophisticated and mature.
